My sister has been a resident for approximately 10 months. During this time she has received the very best of care. Both staff and carers have been excellent throughout her stay. The food is exceptionally good and to a very high standard. Plenty of activities for residents to take part in to keep them
occupied. There is also a resident hairdresser on the premises which helps to keep my sister's morale up. Her bedroom is kept to a clean and hygienic standard daily. Overall she is very happy to stay in Allington House care home.

My Dad has lived at Allington House since 2017. He is treated with the utmost respect. Everyone is so professional, yet I feel I can approach staff if I need to. The manager and Deputy lead the team with confidence. I feel they have Dad's interests at heart. He is exceptionally well cared for. Staff
always go that extra mile. I feel confident when I leave Dad and would highly recommend Allington House.

Mum has been in Allington House for 5 years she is settled, and happy, she gets on with all the staff, when Mums poorly they help as much as possible. If they have any concerns get a matron, advice from a general doctor or an ambulance.
On a negative note I have, and Mum, is the food not so much as
the quality, but the way it's cooked. Also no thought to what's given to the residents. Eg. Weather 30 degrees mince & dumplings, and overcooked at times or undercooked.

The staff at Allington House have made the experience of putting Dad into permanent care an easy transition. Dad is thriving since being here. He is enjoying the activities put on by all the staff. The staff are brilliant with Dad. Can't praise them enough!

My dad has been well cared for and looked after during such difficult times due to Covid. All the staff are very caring and dedicated to looking after my dad. The cleanliness is to a high standard. They treat my dad as he is part of their family. They give me confidence that they test every visitor
for Covid before they see their loved ones or visit for any other reason so our loved ones are kept safe.

I am very happy with the home and staff they are very pleasant and helpful. They have been looking after my sister very well and I would not move her to any other home. My sister is very happy in the environment she is in. She does nothing but praise the staff.

I seriously can’t thank all the staff at Allington house enough! My nana has visited Allington for a period of assessment. I really don’t know what the staff have done but they have worked their magic! My nana arrived at Allington House after leaving hospital. She was ready to give up. Very frail, and
no self-drive. In a matter of a couple of weeks, she has totally changed back to her old self. She has now in her own words ‘got hope’, she’s even started to plan her Christmas. If it wasn’t for everyone at Allington House I honestly couldn’t have seen my nana making a turn-around like she has. My nana is now back at home, and loving life. Thank you Allington house!

My dad came to Allington House after being in and out of hospital. The staff have all been absolutely fantastic, they have made my dad very welcome and he has settled in very quickly. The staff have also made all of his family very welcome. He is now doing different activities which is what he has needed
to keep him stimulated as he has mixed type dementia. They have kept us informed of how he is doing. Thank you so much to the manager and all the staff.

My wife was admitted to the care home in July 2017 and the improvement from then to the present time is remarkable. Her mobility, diet and general well-being are all attributed to the care/support provided by the home. My only concern is a general one relating to the lack of care/support afforded in
the lounges, in particular, the T.V lounge where up to 12 residents can sometimes be left for lengthy periods with no carer present to prevent situations getting out of control.

Given the mobility issues my father has, this home offers him a safe, comfortable environment in his room. The staff are great with him and he likes being there. Visitors are always welcomed warmly and requests for information are dealt with promptly.

I believe that staff do a good job in looking after the residents but feel that routine maintenance jobs take too long to be completed.

My mam died on September 12th 2016. On 25th November my parents would have been married 66 years. The staff were very kind and thoughtful on this day and bought my Dad some lovely flowers for his room.
