Ayresome Court Nursing Home is located on the outskirts of the picturesque, historic market town of Yarm. It is just a short drive from the North York Moors National Park and has good road, bus and rail links, making it easily accessible.

The home offers nursing, residential and respite care in a purpose-built setting, with a caring environment where every resident is seen as an individual. Residents are fully involved in the planning of their care, with their dignity, privacy, choice and independence always respected and promoted.

Residents’ wellbeing is extremely important at Ayresome Court and they are encouraged to participate in physically and mentally stimulating activities, such as walking, cycling, chess, arts and crafts, and therapy sessions. There are also wheelchair-friendly gardens where residents can relax in a peaceful environment.

The home has strong relationships with the library, schools and churches in the local community, and they work closely with health centres, dental surgeries and pharmacies to ensure the care delivered is always of the highest quality.

Their hard work and dedication has been rewarded in the form of Ayresome Court being recognised as a top 20 Recommended Care Home North East England for 2015 and 2016 on carehome.co.uk. They have also won the Akari garden competition for beautiful exteriors.

I found no problems with the home itself. All staff and management very approachable and very professional. If any issues arose, they were dealt with immediately.

My mum lived at Ayresome Court for 27 months following a stroke. She was settled and happy.
She received the highest standard of professional nursing care and was treated with respect and dignity.
All staff members treated Mum as a lady; they showed her real warmth and friendliness, and a very genuine
compassion.

The staff here have been more than kind and considerate. They have truly cared for me and my mother at the most difficult of times. Their experience - particularly in their nursing staff is invaluable in those worst moments where you really need the highly skilled support that they offer. I am very
grateful and am also very impressed by the patience and dignity they all provide for some of the more challenging residents.

My father was a resident in the home for 9 days. During his brief stay, I was at the home most days. I was very happy with the care my father received, he was treated with dignity and respect. The staff were always caring and patient. The home was kept clean and had a lovely secure garden for residents
to sit in. Visitors are able to eat meals with residents in the dining room or in the private lounge. I would certainly recommend Ayresome Court Nursing Home as a nursing home and care home.

From the moment we made an enquiry we were impressed by the appearance and facilities of the building, professionalism and care of all the staff. The building is clean and well maintained and with plenty of staff at hand, no matter what time we arrive. They have treated our parents and ourselves with
great dignity and have been supportive of the family during a very difficult time. I would highly recommend this home - they have been superb!

A satisfactory respite but as I am fairly mobile I was bored most of the time.
Some form of exercising would be helpful such as a walking machine or a peddling bike.

My father receives very good care from all staff in Ayresome Court Nursing Home. The meals are excellent. His personal care needs are dealt with as well as can be expected. Allowing for my father's dementia and sometimes his temper!
I feel he is safe and secure and is always happy when we visit him.
We
would not be able to care for dad at home and we feel we have found the best alternative to home care

Because I visited my mother two or three times every day, I soon realised that the care she was receiving was of an excellent standard. I felt that both the manager and her staff were always caring, considerate and treated my mother with the utmost dignity,
I would not hesitate to recommend Ayresome
Court to anyone who needed similar care.
The girls went out of their way to include mum in anything she showed interest in and they all work hard to provide entertainment for the residents.
I will always be grateful to all the staff for the care my mother received there.

My Mother-in-law was received in the care as if she was a long-lost friend. I have observed that the staff are as pleasant and helpful as Angels.
From the manageress to the whole compliment of staff. Nothing is too much trouble, I hope if or when I have to go into a care home, the place I go to will
be half as good. God bless all those Angels. It takes a certain type of person to look after the residence as they do.

Mum came to Ayresome Court after a hospital stay. The staff could not have been more welcoming. From the start, she was encouraged to mix socially (which she was not used to) and interact with other residents. Every day there was an activity, small (e.g crosswords, quiz questions) or large e.g singer,
so there was always something to amuse or entertain. I can honestly say that Ayresome Court made her final days very enjoyable.

I have to say that I and my family are absolutely delighted with the way my Mother-in-law was cared for at Ayresome Court Nursing Home- so much so that we recommended it to another member of the family and the recommendation was taken up.
My Mother-in-law was always treated with the utmost respect
but cared for with love and humour. Her dignity was always preserved, she was included in any activities and events in which she showed an interest and she rarely did not have a member of staff with her. Either caring for her or joking and laughing with her.
She was nursed through several illnesses, with love and kindness, and we were kept abreast of the situation at all times by the staff.
From the first day to the last that she spent at Ayresome Court she was comfortable and able to relax and feel safe, which was a great relief for all of us.
The wonderful staff here are always friendly, respectful and always keen to "go the extra mile".

I was most apprehensive about having to spend some time in a care home but I was immediately made welcome and put at ease when I arrived at Ayresome Court.


Throughout my stay, I received support, encouragement, friendship, companionship and care.

Can't thank the manager and all of the staff, both carers and nursing staff who showed such care, consideration and compassion for my mom and all my family during the last days of her life. They made an extremely difficult and emotional time more bearable and we couldn't fault the care they provided.

My sister was booked respite for 6 days. As she lived in B'ham was staying with her step-daughter who lived in Yarm. So I was worried about her and net sure of care homes to decided to book a few days there too to make sure all OK. How pleasantly surprised I was as I could not fault the staff. The care
they gave her. Unfortunately, she died on 29th January whilst there. The love and respect she was given was second to none. The manager and staff went out of their way to help. I can't thank everyone enough.

The staff were very caring and accommodating. My mother was only there for a couple of weeks where she unfortunately passed away. The last couple of days when she took a turn for the worst, the carers on duty insisted and persisted on calling in doctors, who could not have been more helpful. My mother
went from being agitated to passing away peacefully in her sleep with all her family around her.

My father is a bed-ridden double-stroke victim, fully dependent on the care and nursing staff. thankfully they are all angels. My Father has been here for a year and I have not a single worry or complaint. Every member of staff is dedicated, very competent and cheerfully friendly. His daily care is
always fully and carefully recorded, which helps me enormously as he cant speak clearly. The home is clean, bright and instills enormous confidence in me. I could not be more pleased with the staff's ability and dedication to caring for my 93 year old dad.
