Ayresome Court Nursing Home is located on the outskirts of the picturesque, historic market town of Yarm. It is just a short drive from the North York Moors National Park and has good road, bus and rail links, making it easily accessible.

The home offers nursing, residential and respite care in a purpose-built setting, with a caring environment where every resident is seen as an individual. Residents are fully involved in the planning of their care, with their dignity, privacy, choice and independence always respected and promoted.

Residents’ wellbeing is extremely important at Ayresome Court and they are encouraged to participate in physically and mentally stimulating activities, such as walking, cycling, chess, arts and crafts, and therapy sessions. There are also wheelchair-friendly gardens where residents can relax in a peaceful environment.

The home has strong relationships with the library, schools and churches in the local community, and they work closely with health centres, dental surgeries and pharmacies to ensure the care delivered is always of the highest quality.

Their hard work and dedication has been rewarded in the form of Ayresome Court being recognised as a top 20 Recommended Care Home North East England for 2015 and 2016 on carehome.co.uk. They have also won the Akari garden competition for beautiful exteriors.

The care offered to mum is extremely good, she is treated with sensitivity and with real dignity and encouraged to get involved with the activities. She feels very safe and well looked after, which gives us peace of mind.

After visiting my mother in hospital for 8 weeks and rehab for 2 weeks and dreading seeing her continued weight loss. She has started to recover properly since she came to Ayresome Court in September. She has started to eat properly again and starts the day with a full cooked breakfast which definitely
sets her up for the day!
I am once again able to enjoy visiting my mother without worrying about her. Activities are frequent and varied. The staff have bee really kind, caring and communication is excellent. One minor issue could be that sometimes there seems to be fewer staff on at the weekends.

As far as I can see my ex neighbour is very lucky to be here. The staff are all very committed to the care of all their residents and patients. Nothing is too much trouble, they are very approachable at all times.

Staff are very caring and nothing is too much trouble. When issues are raised the staff are very quick to deal with them. Residents are able to engage with others, or not as they so wish. When medical care is required it is quickly arranged.

My aunt was a resident in Ayresome Court for a few weeks at the end of her life. The care she received was exemplary. She was treated with care and dignity and was content and peaceful in the care she received. It was my observation that all the residents seemed very happy with a lovely family atmosphere.
Every member of staff was lovely and a lot of them had worked here for a number of years.

The Ayresome Court Nursing Home was the 'home to my mother' for the last 6 months of her life. Our experience of this home for residential and nursing care was excellent in every respect, ie. staff in every part of the home were caring, attentive and dealt with the residents every need. I cannot thank
the staff enough fort the attention and care of my mother.
