Highfield Care Home, located in the historic town of Yarm, provides personalised residential and residential dementia care to older people.

The comfortable home has plenty of well designed areas for residents to relax, socialise and unwind. The garden, hobby room and patio area make great places for residents to pursue hobbies and interests as well as spend time with their loved ones.

Highfield boasts a selection of specially designed dining areas that provide the perfect space to share meals with fellow residents, or family and friends. The catering team prides itself on ensuring that each meal is an enjoyable and heart-warming experience for every resident and visitor to the home.

A very emotional time taking my father-in-law to a care home after he has always managed on his own since losing his wife in November 2014. But having had a stroke, things changed, but I was really pleased when I took him to Highfield. The management and staff were so kind and considerate that it put
my mind at ease, and today was the first time we have seen him, and he was a lot more settled and well presented, and the meal he was given on arrival looked, first class.

My father was admitted to the home 7 months ago. The care he received was above and beyond our expectations, the staff went above and beyond. We were kept well informed by the Manager who we commend for her professionalism.

Delighted with the care my Nanna is receiving at all times, but especially during the Covid pandemic. The manager kindly helped us arrange a virtual 90th birthday celebration for Nanna which was so lovely for us all as a family as we couldn't spend her birthday together. Nothing is too much and the
staff are so helpful when we want to video call Nanna. She always looks immaculate with care taken to do her hair, nails and choice of her clothes. Thank you, everyone, for taking such good care of Nanna and keeping our minds at ease during this difficult time xxx

The care and compassion shown to my Mum and all residents at Highfield during the current pandemic has been incredible; I can never thank the manager and staff for their kindness, not only to my Mum but to us as a family with their reassurances and updates on how everyone is; nothing is ever too much
trouble and despite their own fears, keep positive during these difficult times. It is an amazing home with wonderful staff and management and I am so glad my Mum is being cared for there. Thank you, everyone.

I just wanted to say a huge thank you to all of the Highfield staff who are continuing to go to work and look after our loved ones at a time when we are unable to visit.
I know that my mum is in the safest place and is being so well looked after by all of the staff, who all have their own families
to take care of as well as looking after their own health at this very difficult time.
The staff at Highfield are all angels and I can’t thank them enough for all they are doing.

I cannot express enough our gratitude and thanks to the staff at the Highfield Care Home.
My Dad has been with them since June and during his time with them, they have treated him as one of their own family.
In a period of time which has been extremely stressful and challenging for my Dad the care,
dedication and love shown for him have been way beyond just a job.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the team to care for a family member.

My mother has been in Highfield since the end of November last year (2019). We are very pleased with the care and attention she has received from all the staff during her stay. The staff and management go the extra mile to make the residents comfortable and happy and they show great compassion and
patience. We have visited almost on a daily basis and are always made to feel very welcome. The food is always excellent and there are many activities for the residents to enjoy.

My mum has been at Highfield since the summer and I couldn’t be happier with the care she receives.
Highfield emphasises kindness in its marketing materials and this is indeed its defining characteristic from which all else flows. From the home manager downwards, the staff are endlessly kind, compassionate
and patient, often under trying circumstances.

We are delighted with Mum's progress since coming to Highfield, she is now conversing with us and seems very happy and settled. Mum enjoys her food and looks forward to her meals.
Mum moved from another home and the difference is so noticeable, the atmosphere in Highfield is jollity and caring and
I can't praise the staff enough for the care they are giving Mum, as I live some distance away it is comforting to know she is being cared for so well.
Thank you, one of the things that I noticed is staff and residents are all happy and welcoming.

The staff are wonderful, very caring and friendly. There are lots of activities for Dad to join in with, but he can also have quiet times to read the paper in his room. Dad was very isolated at home and there has been a big difference in his mood since coming into The Highfield. He is enjoying the
food and is eating much more since he came here, which is having a positive effect on his health. He feels secure here and is mixing more with other residents. The management have been very supportive at this difficult time.

This care home provides an excellent standard of care. Nothing is too much trouble and the staff are highly dedicated and professional. My mother receives excellent care and is very well taken care of.
