My Mum moved into Victoria House and is temporary for now. I am hoping she can stay permanently. The staff are always pleasant and polite and friendly. Mam is well looked after and seems quite settled.
Her room is homely and we have been allowed to put up pictures from home. Mam is always clean and
tidy and well looked after. I have no concerns.

Our late father spent his last few weeks in Victoria House & we couldn't have picked a better place for him to be looked after. The minute my sister & I went for a look around it had such a welcoming feel about it. The staff were so caring & couldn't do enough for dad & us. We had only just lost our
mother when Dad was admitted to Victoria House we were feeling very emotional. The staff were extremely supportive & went out of their way to make sure we were ok. We would highly recommend Victoria House to anyone who might be looking for a Care Home for a loved one in the near future.

My Dad was a resident at Victoria House between 6/9/24 and 8/10/24 in the nursing department. During this time we found that the home met and exceeded our expectations. We have had experiences with 2 other care homes in the Stockton On Tees area and can say hand on heart that Victoria House provided
the best care. The care from all staff was excellent, response time to any request was extremely quick and efficient. The food was of such a high standard. My family and I would like to express our thanks to you all.

All the staff are very friendly, calm, attentive and professional.
My Mum is very happy to be here, and I'm happy that Mum's happy.
The nurses keep me updated and the communication is excellent.

Throughout the period I have found the atmosphere at Victoria House to be very welcoming. The staff cannot be faulted with their caring and attentive attitude. They always have a smile and do their utmost to see the residents are cared for and comfortable, given the onerous conditions that they have
to work in. The activities that are put on while not possible for all bring a welcome variation, in particular the singing and dancing sessions.

My uncle is residing in your care home at present. From the first point of contact with the home manager to nursing staff and care staff, I have been very impressed. Every time you phone, the staff are very polite and most helpful and on visiting, the interaction with the staff and residents is amazing.

After a brief negative stay in a different home, my dad has become his happy self again here!
The staff are warm, friendly and very accommodating with so much patience you would think they were looking after family!

Great service provided by staff. I know my parents are well looked after, which makes life much easier for me as I don't have any worries regarding their care.
I would like to see more evidence of activities which take place, but other than this, I would highly recommend Victoria House to anyone looking

The staff work very hard to care for my mother, who is now 96years old and has been a resident for almost four years. Whenever I have visited her she has been clean and tidy and comfortable. Whenever I have seen her with members of the staff, she has always been happy to see them and to talk to them.
I know that the staff are now having to give her a lot of assistance with her eating and she seems to welcome that.

My mum recently came here, waiting to be assessed, seemed friendly on visits. Rooms are nice, had a few issues with laundry not being returned, items of clothes going missing, few other issues. I'm my mum's main carer but it wasn't noted for a while after so only window visits. My biggest issue is the
staff rotate around the units so there is no continuity of care, and I think for people with this cruel disease it's a must. It's been five months now and I still don't know half the staff, I don't know how the residents are supposed to be settled. There are still a few issues that I hope to get sorted. I don't want to have to think about moving my mam, as the place is nice, and I don't want to upheave her again, and I'm sure things could be changed for the better and hope things are reviewed.

Thank you for your review. Our Laundry Team at Victoria House are fairly new in post, however, are now settling into their new roles. Hopefully, you will be able to see some positive changes moving forward. We do try to ensure that staff are familiar with all Residents, we do this by rotating staff every few weeks on average so that staff and Residents get to know one another. It also helps to ensure that staff are able to deliver the kindest, person-centred care to all Residents. We would like to invite you to book a one to one meeting with the Home Manager to discuss any concerns you may have as we really value the feedback so we are able to see where we can improve the service we provide.

Care and attention are very good. My sister seems happy and settled here. Staff are always helpful, caring and polite. Although I haven't seen her room yet, due to the current restrictions.
