We have found Bannatyne Lodge Care Home to be a very good service, in this, there appear to be able to identify and care for our father's needs very well. All staff are very approachable and professional and provide a great service.

Aunt is on the nursing floor and is very well cared for. They are trying their best to help her through, it is not always easy. All the staff are friendly from management down to cleaning staff. She is always clean and well cared for. She is not well enough to leave her bed but previously the staff
would encourage her to join in activities.

At the end of January, my mother-in-law was admitted from hospital for total nursing care. The welcome and care she received from all the staff was excellent. However her health was very poor, and as she was of sound mind and able to make her own decisions she made it clear she did not want to return
to hospital. The decision was made for end of life care to commence and the staff allowed very close family to be with her until she died. This gave the family great comfort. I would highly recommend this nursing home for compassion and consideration. The physical nursing care was excellent. The family are delighted that we chose this nursing home.

Our dad went to Bannatyne from hospital. The staff we immediately met were warm and friendly. Due to restrictions, we weren’t allowed in or to visit in the first week which was hard for him and for us. Staff kept calling in to chat with dad which helped him settle. Our interaction with the home has
been excellent and nothing at all has been any trouble to anyone without exception. They really care and treat dad with the utmost respect, kindness and warmth. The staff speak to him as a person. Dad is joining in the activities much to our surprise but delight. The garden area is lovely and will be wonderful to be in when the summer comes. We have visited dad at various times and there is always a lovely atmosphere. All the residents seem happy and there is a lovely buzz when you walk in. Dad is now a permanent resident and we as a family are very happy that dad is able to stay as he is happy and content and that is all you can want. Would highly recommend.

I have found the home to be clean and tidy. The staff are always friendly and polite. They have kept me informed at every stage of my mother's care. They have looked after my mother very well and it is really appreciated.

My mother-in-law was brought into Bannatyne Lodge with aggressive, both verbal and physical Alzheimers. She had stopped eating, refused medication and become incontinent and lost her independence. Staff endured, treating her with empathy and dignity at all times. They encouraged her and slowly, she
gained their trust. Today she eats well, takes her meds and asks for the toilet. Staff encourage her to mobilise, if only for a short distance. She loves all the staff, laughs a lots and is happy and content. As a family, thank you seems too small a word to show our appreciation.

Bannatyne Lodge is nothing like a care home. It is just like going home. The management and staff are fantastic. They will bend over backwards to help you. Everyone is sociable. The rooms are great, they always have coffee mornings on. We had a Christmas day lunch and all my family turned up. We had
a three-course meal with crackers to pull. It was fantastic and the food is excellent. Very good all round. Recommend it to anyone.

Bannatyne Lodge Care Home is excellent I can't say a bad thing about it. The food and drink is excellent and is very clean. The rooms are spot on. I wouldn't wish for better management or staff they take my wife for showers and do her, hair blow dry it too, and the management and staff even come in
the rooms to see if you are alright or want anything. I couldn't fault them one bit.

As a Health Care Professional, Julie has many years of experience in providing care and support for older people, helping to enrich their lives in the process. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest possible standards of care and quality of life for Residents.


Julie uses her experience to motivate the team to deliver care and support in a way that Residents gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Julie said, “The Residents, the people. Hearing laughter in the home and supporting Residents to fulfil their hopes and dreams. Everything is possible with the right love and support behind you.”
