Going into Lothian House has given Mam a new lease of life. She is up in the lounge every day. She loves watching what is going on. It has improved the relationship between Mum and Dad. When we visit we can talk about the old days and have a laugh together. There is always a lovely, friendly atmosphere
within the home and the staff are always friendly towards us and treat mam with dignity. Mam tells us how much she loves the girls.

Mam continues to enjoy her time at Lothian House. Staff have been fantastic and very patient as always but especially over the last year while Mam was ill. They were attentive and always happy to help or answer any questions. The home is always clean and is a very pleasant environment to visit. Nothing
is too much trouble and knowing Mam is safe and well cared for gives us peace of mind. Thank you.

Generally good, enjoying the day trips out. Entertainment was really well organised over Xmas but has slipped slightly maybe due to reduced hours/days by the main entertainer.
Care staff are always available and very helpful.

The care my dad receives is outstanding, nothing is a chew for the girls who look after my dad, and he is always clean and tidy. He is very well fed and when I ask him if he is happy he always says yes, couldn't ask for more. The staff are amazing with myself too, they take time t chat even though they
are busy. They go above and beyond to care for my dad. I am very grateful.

My mam was brought into Lothian due to illness. We arrived and from entering the home till now, we have been made so welcome. The love and warmth we all have received have been overwhelming. Everyone has given Mam the love and help that she needs to keep her safe, warm and also give her dignity. We
cannot thank them enough for what they do everyday and night. Always with a smile and friendly warmth no matter what time of day or night. My mam is so happy and they have helped to make that possible.

My aunt moved into Lothian House Care Home in August 2024, it came as quiet a shock as until then she lived a full life and had her own bungalow.
Since she moved into Lothian House she has made some lovely friends among other residents and staff. It is a pleasure to come and visit, you feel part of
a happy family. I call most days and have never had a negative feeling, always go away smiling.

My mam has been a resident at Lothian House Care home for 13 years. She is cared for and looked after very well. All the staff are very helpful and kind and the home manager is very supportive. The home provides activities daily but Mam is unable to take part but did do when she first came in.

My sister moved into Lothian House Care Home in November 2024. I am over the moon we managed to get her in here. The facilities are clean and well organised and the staff are brilliant. They treat her like family and nothing is too much trouble for them. We are so lucky to have her in here. She has

This is the second care home my nana has been placed in as the first did not even meet basic needs. Our experience of Lothian House has been very different. Lothian house is always warm and inviting, they constantly have seasonal decorations up and there are lots of events and days out to keep residents
stimulated and happy. My parents and I can rest easy knowing my nana is well looked after and happy here.

Resident:- Room constantly smelt. Always found sitting in room staring at the four walls on every visit apart from one where it was mealtime. T.V. not working - no radio although one taken in. On two visits was in dirty clothing and unshaven. On another visit complained of the cold as was only in a
sleeveless jumper and vest.
Complained of being lonely.

I came to Lothian House on 8/8/2024. I found it to be top of the pops. The manager is a rock like I said (top of the pops). I find the care to be superb. I feel so safe and life is wonderful, always outings and feel so safe and didn't think that life was so good in Lothian House. I'm a born and bred
girl in the local area and our wonderful manager says: "I know by your visitors, you know everyone and are so popular".

From the moment I came to view the home my experience was one of warmth and security and I haven't been disappointed. I know my mam will be well cared for and also our family know that staff do their utmost to provide the best care for our mother. Nothing is too much to ask, it gives us peace of mind.
Mam isn't good with strangers or changes but she has settled so well.

This is the second time Mam has been in Lothian House but this time it is permanent. She is very well looked after and is happy. The staff are all lovely and Mam likes them all, that is a good thing for me as I know she is comfortable and safe 24 hours a day. She has made a lot of friends and enjoys
the company and activities. The home is well-managed and of a very high standard.

We are so pleased that we found Lothian House for his final years. The carers are hard and considerate of his needs. They remember and individualise his care. Taking him out for the recent D-Day celebrations. The food is varied and plentiful. It is such a weight off of me knowing that he is content

Jill has gained over 20 years of experience in providing care and support to older people, to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and committed leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards in care and quality of life for Residents.


Having worked at Lothian House for a number of years, Jill closely shares HC-One’s vision is aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. She extends this caring approach to her colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to Residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


She also works hard to arrange events and activities with nearby schools and clubs and is always keen to include the local community in life at Lothian House.


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Jill remarked: “I just love the satisfaction of ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our Residents.”


Away from work, Jill enjoys weekends away with her partner and socialising with her friends and family.
