Despite continuous setbacks due to covid, the staff remain upbeat and positive. I'm always kept up to date with my mum's care, either by phone or in the regular newsletters. The senior staff are always there to give advice and support to me when I'm not sure what to do for the best, regarding my mum.
Superb care and consideration is given to my mum and I always feel reassured that she's in the best place for her needs.

Our mum needed care after being hospitalised following a fall at home. What was initially meant to be a short-term need became a longer-term one and our mum spent 6 months at a care home before moving to Melbury Court only due to closer location to her family. The staff are excellent with her and always
try to keep her spirits up. Mum is a really fussy eater and if the main menu options weren't to her liking, the care staff or one of the cooks would make a sandwich or omelette to make sure she was able to have something to eat. They also tried to facilitate visits in spite of the challenges of Covid. Melbury Court did an excellent job for the transfer from her previous care home and everything went really smoothly. Thanks to everyone at Melbury Court for making our mum comfortable and feel welcome.

My auntie spent her last weeks in Melbury Court, in the palliative care wing. I have nothing but admiration for the wonderful care she received. In these awful times when visiting has been limited, it was important to feel confident that she was being looked after in the best way possible, and the communications

I can highly recommend Melbury Court to anyone who is searching for a care home. My Dad was a resident in another care home and transferred to Melbury Court due to being abused by staff and assaulted three times by another resident. Melbury Court is a breath of fresh air and my Dad is extremely pleased
he moved there. The staff are very professional and handled my Dad’s transfer safely and with kindness.
I am relieved that my Dad is now in a safe and well-run care home, who treat the residents like there own family.

My mother has been in the care of Melbury Court for some time now and the staff that care for her are amazing. My mam is so well cared for and I can sleep at night knowing that she is safe. My dad who has mixed dementia/Alzheimer's moved to Melbury Court in August 2019. It was an extremely hard decision and difficult time, however; it worked out best for Dad as he then had the 24-hour care he required. He adapted to life in the home extremely well it even lifted his mood mixing with other
people. In May of this year, I received the dreaded phone call that Dad had caught COVID. The staff were so supportive, contacting me with daily updates. Dad declined and had to be rushed to hospital. The doctors gave him days to live. Melbury Court Staff were exceptional they allowed me to bring Dad back to the home so I could be with him when he passed away. However; 5 months have gone by and Dad is still here he managed to fight the virus. I'm so grateful to all the staff who have helped him through this difficult time. The home manager and the team are doing an outstanding job in protecting the residents. I just hope life gets back to normal soon for them and the residents. THANK YOU!

I enjoy living at Melbury Court, when I first arrived here I was very unwell and the care and attention provided by staff have allowed me to get back up and on my feet. The staff are fantastic and the care and support I receive is outstanding. I could go home if I wanted to but I would rather stay here
where I am looked after.

All of the care staff in this home look after me well, they are kind caring and offer support where needed. I am always treated with dignity and respect. Care staff are very patient with others and I see this daily around the home. The management in this home are very approachable, if they do not have
an answer to my questions they will come back to me at a later date, they are very good. I feel safe living at Melbury Court and have lived here for almost 2 years, there have been many changes but these have been done to improve the service. The housekeeping staff in this home is pretty good and they aim to keep the home clean and fresh smelling and are always happy to help if I want anything. I would recommend this home to others.

I can not recommend this home highly enough to anyone. The home is clean and warm. Rooms are comfortable with on suites, and the lounge areas large and a nice place to sit and spend time in. All the staff and I mean all, from the handyman to the kitchen staff, cares, office and management are excellent,
friendly, smiling faces, and nothing is a bother to anyone; they all make you feel at ease and at home.

The staff are always happy when they are on shift and are always attentive to my needs. Sometimes there is a lack of communication between shifts but this is an ongoing issue. I have lived here for three years now and have made some friends. There is always enough food served on a daily basis and there
is always enough food served throughout the day. The overall standard of the home is good that includes care and support, facilities and cleanliness.

Both my relatives have been resident at Melbury Court. My cousin was there until today, on the Lumley Unit, but due to his increasing care needs, we needed to move him to an EMI nursing bed, which we have now found, but he has been taken into hispital and will be discharged to his new home, hopefully.
The
home is comfortable and nicely furnished for a care home and well looked after. The staff on each of the units have always been friendly and kind to myself and my cousin. At times, due to his dementia, my cousin has been difficult to deal with. It's very sad he has to leave but I know this is the best decision all round now. Thank you for being there for us all. We are very thankful and grateful.
I particularly want to thank the senior carer, the people in the office and the manager.

Melbury Court is a very friendly, very caring and extremely clean care home. My mum is very well cared for and is treated like a family member with love and care shown towards her.
The facilities are spotless, with bright and neutral decor providing a calming and welcoming atmosphere. The lounge areas
are comfortable and plush and the bedrooms are spacious with a comfortable bed and chair. The meals provided are of a high standard, giving a balanced and healthy diet.
The staff are really friendly and it is a pleasure to visit. We as a family, couldn't have asked for a better care home for our elderly mother.

A friendly and family orientated place. I feel part of the place although only a visitor.
Mum is very well looked after, all her needs and wants are met and she has come on in leaps and bounds. We feel really happy she is in Melbury Court. Staff are lovely, professional and efficient. Food is very

I find this home is wonderful as I promised my dad he would not go into a home but unfortunately he needed nursing. They have been so supportive to my dad and myself. I find the staff and management to be very friendly and efficient, any problems are dealt with very quickly. Anywhere you have people, you will never have perfection, but in my opinion, Melbury Court is the best you will find anywhere. I spend 10 hrs a day most days with my wife, so I see and hear a
lot of what goes on, and if I can't have my wife at home, I am very happy for her to be in Melbury Court.
