My mother has been a resident for several months and my review really is based upon this in general. My mother has Parkinson's disease/dementia which has left her with poor short term memory. The home itself is good and Mam has been cared for with dignity and respect. The care staff are compassionate/caring,
and endeavour to meet Mam's needs. However, on some occasions and due to inadequate staffing levels on Mam's floor I feel this is not the case, and consequently it doesn't happen. (I.e. long time in responding to nurse call/toileting).

My family were on holiday, so I spent a week in this care home. The operative word is care. All the staff were genuinely caring people.. Nothing was too much trouble. They even changed the position of my bed for me at ten in the evening..Activities were many and varied. Individual needs were catered
for.

My auntie was admitted to Bishopsgate Lodge Care Home as were not happy with the home she was previously in. The care, support and dignity she received was amazing. The staff were exceptional. On the passing my auntie, the staff were very kind and considerate to myself and other family members. I could

I moved my auntie to Bishopsgate Lodge Care Home after a horrible experience at a different care home. I found staff and the home itself clean, friendly and were very helpful and kind during a terrible time in our lives. I cannot thank them enough for looking after my auntie in her last few weeks. My mother had her respite care for a week in Bishopsgate Lodge she loved it. They made her feel welcome and comfortable kept her safe even managed to get her to do activities her room was clean and comfortable made friends and the manager and staff were excellent would recommend this home for their
loved one's care needs.

Our parents are both in the care home. Mum has been in for eight months and Dad for two months. They are both very happy and very settled. Every member of staff we come into contact with is so nice, and they go way beyond their call of duty. As a family, we know Mum and Dad are very well looked after.
We can't thank the staff enough.

Well supported when needed. Well supplied with comfortable lounges, superb views from the dining room and several bedrooms. The food is really good and well cooked. The staff are all really caring and helpful. The downside is too many agency staff, lack of knowledge of residents' requirements. Pills
at night often late and past bedtime. Allowed to have our own bedding, a plus is the laundry facilities are excellent.

My father settled in here and has progressed well since his arrival. He receives good care and is very well-fed. The socialising and activities are excellent and has helped him greatly as he is far less depressed. I would recommend this home to anyone needing care.

This is an exceptionally well-managed care home. Staff are wonderful, kind, thoughtful and genuinely caring, always going beyond our expectations. Nothing but praise. From the moment we stepped through the door to look around for my dad, it just felt right. Spacious, friendly relaxed atmosphere, nothing too much to ask, caring, very helpful. All the staff were brilliant, would recommend. Unfortunately, Dad was limited to using a lot of the facilities,

A lovely, friendly atmosphere with staff who care about the needs of each individual. Mum was always made welcome and listened to on every occasion. A small covid outbreak in the building did affect staff numbers, but they all work so hard and Mum was still looked after to the best level they could
manage.

I cannot ask for any better care for my dad. All the staff are lovely, they all go beyond their duties. All the meals are fantastic. I can say, hand on heart, that this place is the best care home in the area. Five-star rating.

My mam recently moved into Bishopsgate Lodge Care Home and from the moment she arrived she has been treated with respect and kindness by all members of staff. Staff have gone out of their way to make adaptions, listen to her views and meet her needs. They are determined to help her to feel safe, comfortable

On behalf of the whole family, I would like to say thank you to all the staff for the care and affection that they have given to my mother-in-law throughout her stay. She enjoyed a laugh with the staff and, prior to Covid, she enjoyed trips out - not to mention fish and chips on occasion! Everyone has
always welcomed our family too.
More recently, as her health declined, staff were especially attentive. During her final days, they extended that care and attention to her family. looking after us too as we stayed with her. For that, we are very grateful.
Over the years, especially during Covid, it has been reassuring to have peace of mind, knowing that she has been well looked after by caring and professional staff. Thank you all so much.

I cannot thank the staff at Bishopsgate enough for the loving care that they gave to my mother since she arrived there over two years ago.
Pre-Covid, I was struck by the genuinely friendly approach to us and that there were a significant number of long serving staff.
Covid was a nightmare for care
homes, so I was delighted that a number of these staff are still there now.
My mother passed on June 8, and thanks again to the home, I was able to stay there for a few days, enabling me to spend invaluable quality time with my mother.
From the manager, nurses, carers and support staff - I received nothing but warmth and care towards my mother.
All of this gave her a peaceful passing.
I’ll miss my contact with some of these lovely people.
Hopefully, some will be able to attend her funeral and wake.

My father was placed there from the stroke ward after having a severe stroke.
It says on the home website they have rehabilitation for stroke victims, yet they had no idea how to cope or look after my father.
My father most of the time was just left in his room in soiled or smelly clothes.
He could
not walk or use the loo without supervision so if he rang his help buzzer most of the time he was ignored.
I mentioned it they just put a commode in his room which was hardly ever cleaned and most of the time when I visited was filthy.
I would not recommend this so-called care home. One of the home's managers is just not interested at all in the care of her residents.

Lovely caring staff, mam made very welcome and comfortable, staff very polite and professional. Mam was in for respite care after being unsteady and lost some confidence, also severely sight impaired, unbelievable to what she got involved in whilst there.

I am thrilled to introduce myself as a Deputy Home Manager for Bishopsgate lodge care home. I have worked in care sector over 15 years from support worker to Deputy home manager. Being a Deputy manager is such a rewarding and fulfilling role. It is my responsibility to ensure that our residents are delivered the highest standards of person centered care and that they are supported to live a fulfilling and happy life.
I feel blessed to be the part of the Landona homes Ltd and I am very confident that we can make a big difference in people’s life. My goal as a Deputy Manager is to make Bishopsgate lodge a place where residents feel cherished, safe and truly at home.
