My mam moved into Tenlands in June, her mobility and dementia made it too difficult to stay in the family home. The staff are all very helpful and caring. Tenlands is very homely and Mam is well cared for and we, as her family, can relax a little, knowing she is in a safe environment and well looked
after.

My mum spent one week in Tenlands care when her medication was to be changed. The care she received was excellent the staff were very helpful and caring towards my mum and myself. Would definitely recommend and Mum would be happy to go back if needed.

My dad came into Tenlands in February straight from the frailty ward at Bishop Hospital and I can't praise all the staff and management enough. They have taken excellent care of my dad and he is so settled it has taken the pressure off us as a family. Would highly recommend this home.

My Grandad has been living at Tenlands since the start of 2024 and the difference we have seen in him since leaving the hospital has been amazing. The team visited him whilst he was still in hospital and he wasn't doing well at the time. After about 2 weeks in Tenlands, he was like a different person.
His dementia is progressing, which is incredibly sad to watch, but we have a constant peace of mind that he is getting the best possible care. We cannot say a bad word about Tenlands or any of the staff. They go above and beyond to look after every single resident and they truly care. Tenlands is clean and always smells lovely which is a huge bonus! Keep up the amazing work guys - you're all angels.

The home is an excellent standard. The staff and management are all really friendly and caring. Whenever I visit my brother, he's always looking smart and clean. The meals always look really nice, and he has put a lot of weight on since moving into the home. He has really got his appetite back since

In the time my Mam has been a resident of Tenlands Care Home the support and care she has received has been over and above. All staff are so friendly and caring not only to my Mam but to my Dad too. My Dad is a regular visitor, and the care home team always look after him and ask if he wants his lunch
with Mam. This is so lovely and enables them to spend quality time together as husband and wife. If I have raised concerns about my Mam the team have dealt with it quickly and effectively. I always feel nothing is too much trouble. The team are like an extension of family and also ask about my daughter and I too when we visit the care home too. Since Mam has been a resident I genuinely feel she is in safe hands, and very well looked after. I feel this gives me peace of mind and my Dad too. As we are rest assured that her individual needs are being met and her life is enriched being part of the Tenlands Care Home Community. I cant thank the team enough for everything they do.

My mother has been in Tenlands since September. The staff can't do enough for her and it has totally changed her life. We wish she had come in sooner. Mam loves going out on trips and joining in with the different activities going on in the home. The food is lovely and the only complaint we've heard
from her is that she gets too much. The staff are really caring and the manager is always available to talk to if needed and helpful. The home is always lovely and tidy and not what we expected a care home to be. Mam always loves seeing the hairdresser every week now and feels more like herself again.

I am happy with the care my mother receives in Tenlands. The care home is local for the family to come and visit which is great. Everything seems to run like clockwork when we visit. Everything my mother needs is available within the home and she has now started to join in with activities which is nice
to see. Initially when my mother first came into the care home she was quite unsettled and asked to go home most days but now she seems happy and content and spends a lot more time socialising with other people in the home.

My Dad has been in the home for a couple of months now. The team have dealt with the move from his previous home with thoughtfulness and compassion during this re-adjustment. Moving on from that, the team are clearly much more thoughtful and caring than the previous experience. He has settled down much
quicker and better than expected. This gives my dad and the family the much needed peace of mind in these tough circumstances for all. One of the details which confirms this is the liquidising of Dads hard-to-swallow meals. He has lost his teeth, so this means he can enjoy the taste of meat, without the chew (pardon the pun). In my view it's details and the extra work that goes with that, which makes the difference here. Thanks to the team. Keep up the great work.

My gran was in Tenlands for over a year. the care that she received there was fantastic. Staff there went above and beyond. They took the time to get to know her and she was so happy and comfortable there because of that. They regularly organised fun activities (like trips out and themed days) and went
the extra mile with tenants (eg nail painting, special visits etc) Staff were always so warm and kind and caring. They genuinely care for the tenants. It gave myself and my family peace of mind to know that she was safe and really happy there. I cannot thank them enough.

Tenlands is a lovely care home with a friendly, homely& feel. It's very clean, tidy, comfortable and well-maintained. The Tenlands Team are friendly, caring and supportive and they always make Mum smile! Family and visitors are welcomed and treated with kindness by staff and nothing is too much trouble.
There is a varied entertainment programme with something for everyone. Mum especially enjoys going to the hairdresser who visits the home once per week. The manager has an open-door policy and is happy to have a chat or answer any questions. We are very happy with the excellent care Mum is receiving at Tenlands.

My mother was admitted to Tenlands in March 2023. We had cared for her in her home before this. We were very reluctant for her to go into care. When she went into the home after an infection then covid in hospital she could not walk and was doubly incontinent. During the next few months due to the care
and support the staff gave her she improved and eventually got back on her feet. After this, my Mam really enjoyed her time in Tenlands. She had quite advanced Alzheimers and all the staff engaged with her in a professional, caring and I would say loving way. This is a major strength of Tenlands the experienced caring staff and the way that the home is managed which allows the staff to engage with the residents on an individual level. The activities at the home are fantastic and also geared to each individuals need ie pampering and one to one sessions with residents as well as an active social calendar. I would highly recommend Tenlands to anyone considering a care home for someone.

My husband stayed for 3 weeks respite at Tenlands Care Home while I was recovering from an operation and we couldn't have wished for a better care home. My father-in-law has been staying in Tenlands for respite, so it's his first stay. I have to say, we are over the moon with the experience he has had. He has said the staff have all been fantastic. He has also been so happy with the food that he has had, I'm sure he will have put a stone on when he

As a Health Care Professional, Nick has gained a wealth of experience in providing care and nursing support to elderly people, to enrich their lives. He is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards of care and quality of life for Residents.


Having been in the care sector for many years, Nick closely shares HC-One’s vision is aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. He extends this caring approach to his Colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to Residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


When asked what he enjoys most about his role, Nick remarked:


“I have worked as a manager in care for over 10 years and in that time feel I have had a positive contribution to the teams I have managed, forming good working relationships with all my colleagues.”


Nick has also achieved much outside of work, with his proudest achievements being the proud father to three kind and thoughtful children.


Outside of work, Nick enjoys spending time with his family, watching Newcastle United and enjoying days at the beach with his two dogs.
