Located in a residential area in Darlington, Eastbourne Care Home is a spacious home from home setting offering residential and nursing care.

There are 41 bedrooms in total, each offering en suite facilities, with residents encouraged to add a personal touch to help them settle in and feel at home. Across the home there are also spacious living areas, two dining areas where residents can enjoy varied, home cooked meals and snacks and a great outdoors area including a Memory Garden. There is also a café onsite and a hairdressing salon too, giving residents lots of opportunities to socialise and relax.

I, being a father to the patient in Eastbourne Care Home, I thank ALL concerned in the care of my son. I could not be more satisfied with the care and wellbeing of my son and would recommend it (the home) to any person thinking of taking up residence.

When I left hospital I thought I would never walk again, but after only 25 days of rehabilitation here, I'm walking again. All the staff are friendly, utterly professional, compassionate, and above all caring. The food is very good, the physiotherapy equipment is excellent, as are the physiotherapists.
I would highly recommend Eastbourne care home.

After 3 x weeks in Eastbourne Care Home in Darlington, my father came out today 100% better than when he went in. After suffering a stroke, the care and attention to detail he received was excellent.
We as a family cannot praise it enough. Well done and keep up the good work.

Worked with staff on a day shift.
Superb care of range of residents.

My brother who is a resident at Eastbourne Care Home had planned to marry his fiancée but was unable to get to the Registry Office. It was suggested they get married in the home and despite the fact that this had never been done before, the entire staff moved quickly into action. The manager and her
staff could not have been kinder and nothing was too much trouble for them. The buffet was delicious, so many thanks to the catering staff. Even off-duty staff came to wish them well on the day. Thank you to all of you for making it such a memorable day for us all.

Lovely care home, very welcoming and safe feeling. Friendly and approachable staff that seem to know their roles inside out, plus a wonderful new manager. Always helpful and caring when needed. Fab new changes to the home itself too, like a whole new place, love it. I feel very secure with Mum's

I was in Eastbourne Care Home to complete my preparation for going home after 2 months in hospital. I was very well looked after by caring staff whose humour and style suited me well. The food was good and tasty far outshining what the hospitals could provide.

My friend has been in this home since June 2015 and is very happy with all the staff and her social care and surroundings. Everyone treats her with love and respect and seldom are there are problems, which are then quickly and easily resolved. The home has been taken over and a lot of improvements have
taken place, both with the resident care and attention but also with the modernisation of the building. Such as decoration of the bedrooms, a new wet room, proposed coffee lounge and painting and decoration throughout the building. Congratulations to all the staff and management who are totally responsible for her happy environment and trying to keep her positive.

May was a worrying month wondering if my dad was going to be allowed to reside in Eastbourne but the staff made it a whole lot easier as they treat my father as though he was already a permanent resident and now that he is permanent it has been like a large weight lifted off mine and his shoulders,
so a big thank you and lots of praise to the staff for helping in a brilliant way.

My mother was recently resident at Eastbourne Care Home, Darlington. This was initially for assessment/reablement and then end of life care.


We cannot speak highly enough of the staff and management at the Home. Inevitably they are very busy people, but managed to find time for the kindness and

concern that makes so much difference and gives some quality to this distressing stage of life. My mother repeatedly spoke highly of the staff and said she would like others to know of their kindness.


In turn, as her next of kin, we were ourselves both helped and greatly touched by the support, friendliness, warmth and caring we received. In no small measure, it enabled us to cope.

My mother came into Eastbourne Care Home from hospital for rehabilitation. She has been well cared for with lovely staff and has been given physio and is now able to return home, which at 97yrs is wonderful. All the staff are approachable and helpful and can't do enough to help them.

My mum recently stayed here for 3 months due to ill health. She enjoyed her time here. I am happy with the care she received. All staff here were AMAZING, all lovely. My mum has since returned home and is receiving home carers from another provider. I wish Eastbourne carers could continue her care.
They are brilliant! Could not recommend more! Will miss all the staff!
