My father went into Scarbrough Caret straight from the hospital, and the staff and nurses built up a bond with Dad; they nursed him and cared for him. My dad started to eat properly, drink properly, and picked up so much; he gained weight and eventually got back home to my mother. I really cannot thank
Scarbrough Court enough. Amazing.

My husband was admitted to this care home in September after being in three hospitals for six months. I was delighted at how well he settled. All the staff here were friendly and made sure I was informed of everything that happened. He has had a few problems and was taken to the hospital, where he had
one or two nights but was happy to be back at Scarbrough Care Home. The last few months, visiting was restricted because of the Winter bugs and Coronavirus, but I was always kept in the picture. I feel happy that he always waves me off happily and he is not clinging to me. Thank you all.

My mam has been a resident for nearly three years and has had several health issues over that time. The most recent and most serious was a bout of flu after Christmas. The care she received was exceptional not only in managing her physical needs but also recognition of her very low mood and depression.
Health professionals were called in frequently to check on her progress and I was informed of every development in a timely way. Thankfully she has made a good recovery and the family are very grateful for the part that the management and carers played in that. I can’t thank the staff enough for the care in the true sense of the word that they provide.

On the 26th of September, my father went into Scarbrough Court care home. Previously he had been in another care home; he was never motivated, he lay in bed all day, and he was depressed. Since moving into Scarbrough Court, he is a different person. He has his meals in the dining room, he meets other
residents, and the staff are very caring. He's very happy now, which makes me happy. It's a lovely home.

This place is amazing. I was very reluctant to move my mum to another care home after the horrible place she was in previously, but could not have found a better place. From day one, everyone from the two lovely men on reception to the career/nurses and the laundry staff were helpful, friendly and caring.
Unfortunately, Mum died in Jan, and Scarborough Court could not have been more helpful and respectful.

My mother moved into Scarborough Court in the summer, and I have seen her physical and mental health improve as a result. The staff are great, and she is more independent than ever. Our family know she is in safe hands, and the worry of her falling and being left on her own has now gone.

Although my mam was only in the home for a month the staff made her very comfortable and welcome. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and everyone I encountered at the home was very professional, friendly, courteous and helpful.
I only wish my mam could have been fitter to enjoy some of the
activities I noticed on my visits to the home.
She was at the end of life care stage but passed away peacefully in careful hands. Cannot fault the home in any way.

My mother went into Scarborough Court in April 20. Initially, it was for two weeks, she was going through the process of being assessed for dementia, which became apparent she had since the loss of my Dad the previous year. Unfortunately, due to the Covid, this got delayed, she was behaving in a way
that meant she really couldn’t be left alone due to all sorts of irrational thoughts she had.
She could have ended anywhere, so all the family are delighted she now lives there. The staff are lovely, plenty of activities and from all accounts the food is good.
We didn’t choose for her to live in Scarborough Court, and I’m so thankful that a room was available. They’ve had a tough time in recent times and are doing a fantastic job.

My dad moved into Scarbrough Court in March 2021 amid the COVID chaos, and so far, he is enjoying living there. All the staff I have dealt with have been really nice - very pleasant and really helpful (especially reception), and Dad has nothing but complimentary things to say about all the staff he
has come into contact with. The home itself always looks very clean, presentable and welcoming. Dad loves the way the staff are always popping into his room to see how he is or to see if he would like a cuppa - this is a very nice touch. It's still early days for Dad, but so far, things have gone very well, and the staff were great in helping Dad's move go so smoothly. I would recommend anyone going to have a look around Scarbrough Court and seeing how nice it is if considering this for their loved one. Dad is also full of praise for the activities coordinator, and he is always saying she is such a hard worker!

Outstanding care home. I've been in a few with my late father and friends mother - very good indeed. The manager does not suffer fools easy, so the staff do an outstanding job. Runs like clockwork. The older ones get looked after, not just left in their rooms all day, plus they get changed when they
have accidents, not just left in their own mess for hours like some homes. The food is very good indeed too. Well, the best place by far to send your older one; they get looked after, alot less stress on the mind. I was very surprised by the level of care that my mother gets - when I get old, I'd book myself in as well. A very good home - one of the best - 5-stars.

My mother has never looked better for some time; the staff, activities and care are very positive, mentally stimulating and tailored to facilitate the needs of the individual. Feedback from my mum is that all staff are good with her, food and meals are good (they must be as we've had to buy her some
larger trousers), and there are lots of activities to keep her stimulated. Unfortunately due to Covid, I believe trips out in the bus are not able to go ahead, however, will resume ASAP.
Unfortunately, Mum hasn't completely settled in, as we are unable to take her personal stuff into her room and place it as she would have at home, as soon as we are able to do this, I think she'll be very happy in Scarbrough Court.

My mother has been in Scarborough Court for over a year now. Sadly Covid hit before I could help her settle into new surroundings. However, the staff have done their best to keep the resident's spirits up. It's been such a rough ride for all... things are easing a little now. I was happy knowing my
mam was well cared for whilst being apart from her. Mam is in nursing care and built up nice relationships with many of the staff; they are always happy to answer questions and keep you informed. The place is lovely and clean. I would certainly recommend to anybody thinking of placing a loved one into care to consider Scarborough Court.

It is difficult to comment accurately due to the Covid situation as visiting was somewhat restricted. The situation was and still is conducted in a very professional way. I have constantly used the video link provided by the home, and it has become a vital contact for me. The staff handled the calls
in an excellent way on every occasion. I have had no problems with the home at all over the years that my wife has been a resident there.

My mum was placed in Scarborough Court after a short spell in hospital. The staff have been amazing at these difficult times. Because of Covid, I have been unable to go in and visit Mum, and as she has dementia, it has been very difficult for her to understand. The care Mum has received while in Scarborough
Court has been wonderful; my mum is very happy there and always looks comfortable and clean. Mum struggles to eat, so they provide pureed food for her, and when she’s not feeling well, the girls will sit and feed her. At Christmas and her birthday, the staff went above and beyond to make her day special, and even sent videos so I didn’t feel like I was missing out. It’s nice to know that she is safe, cared for and comfortable. I’ve been able to visit Mum in the pod and also go in and visit her after I’ve been tested with a rapid test. And hopefully, when things ease up, I’ll be able to go in and visit more often. Everything is done very professionally. Can’t thank them enough.

My father-in-law moved into the Nursing Wing of Scarbrough Court in early January 2021. It was a stressful time for all concerned, in particular, for my father-in-law. Our fears were certainly allayed shortly after speaking with the absolutely brilliant staff and nurses. And what is one of the most
noticeable attributes of the Scarbrough team is that they obviously care, which is so important when you are placing a family member into their hands. The team have made it possible for us to have regular video calls with my father-in-law, which has been so comforting for us all. My partner and I are in contact with the staff regularly, to the extent that we are now all on first-name terms - which makes it feel like an extended family! They continually keep us updated with his well-being. I truly wish I could mention the staff members by name because they have been fantastic, and are equally professional and caring. The afternoon tea and cake goes down a treat too. Thank you so much!
