Simply a beautiful place to live, Wentworth Grange at Riding Mill is set in four acres of landscaped gardens and surrounded by the glorious views of the Tyne Valley.

Wentworth Grange is just ten minutes from Hexham, less than five minutes from Corbridge, and less than twenty minutes from Ponteland, so visiting is very easy. Public transport is very good, and they can even have a complimentary pick up and drop off service to bus stop or train station.

Established in 1981, Wentworth Grange quickly became the first nursing home in Northumberland, the very first dual care home offering both nursing and residential care.

In 2007, Hampton House opened its doors as an EMI Home, caring for 15 guests.

The vision of the directors is to offer local people an alternative to conventional residential, nursing and EMI care experience.

For over five years, they have taken an already fabulous place to live and made it even better.

They put ourselves under the microscope, not because they had too, its just they love what they do and the passion and drive the whole team have means they always look to improve.

One example is the catering: no pre-packed or frozen meals, all food is fresh and their four chefs work closely with the executive chef to develop their fresh and exciting bistro menus.

Everything they do is to provide people who deserve the best with somewhere they’d love to live, and make their families content that their loved ones are living in a place where they would live themselves.

Wentworth Grange and Hampton House at Riding Mill is simply beautiful, combining the luxury and service of a fine country house hotel with all the benefits of Northumberland’s first nursing home.

When someone you love needs full-time care you want that experience to maintain their destiny as well as provide for their needs.
Wentworth Grange presents as a hotel and is smart, clean and without the odours you normally associate with care facilities.
Rooms are near and well equipped and staff
are caring, respectful and helpful.
I would recommend this facility.

A very dear friend lived here for several weeks before she passed away.
I'd like to acknowledge what a fabulous place it is.
Firstly and foremost the level of care is excellent.
Every staff member was very approachable and caring.
Absolutely nothing was too much bother.
I really appreciated the
shoulder to cry on from the lovely nurse on shift that day.
The building and grounds are spectacular.
Don't ever change what you're doing, not everyone in the care industry cares.
Wentworth Grange definitely cares.

Mum is very happy in her 6th year with the Wentworth Grange Residential Hotel for the Elderly. Management and staff are fully engaged in providing top-quality care. The purpose-built facility, state-of-the-art dining/bar/lounge and chef-run kitchen plus the many activities/events add up to a five-star
rating.

Mum needed emergency care following Dad's heart attack. Wentworth Grange was responsive to our urgent need and Mum feels as though she is on holiday in a luxury resort. The setting was fantastic and all caregivers kind and considerate. I couldn't have wished for better care for my mum!

Very many thanks for all your kindness, understanding and nursing that you gave my father over the last eighteen months of his life. You were all tremendous!
My two brothers and I are all so grateful to the staff of Wentworth Grange for giving my father the dignity of life in his final months.
