I am extremely happy with the care my mother receives at Cartref Annwyl-Fan. I live near the home and visit very often, I always find my mother comfortable, clean and content. The staff are kind and caring always make me feel welcome. The manager and secretary are very approachable and friendly. The
food is excellent and this is so important as my mother has gained weight since admission. I would also like to say that the decor of the home is excellent, so clean and fresh. I am satisfied my mother could not be in a better care home.

When I told my husband that I was changing the care home to be nearer home the answer was 'Thank you, I am going home to Ammanford' with a lovely smile. He arrived at Cartref Anwyl Fan on July 1st and had a good welcome from all the staff. My husband was born in Ammanford but we had been working away
for many years it was nice to hear Welsh Spoken again. The cooking of food is like home from home. Doctors nurses and carers can't do enough to make life easier. I am grateful to all. Cartref Annwyl-Fan has always had a good name ever since it was built.

We chose this placement for our mother because of the high standards of personal care provided and the efficient and responsive management on offer. The registered manager, her seniors, staff and activities co-ordinator provide a quality experience responding to queries and concerns and implementing
changes when suggestions are made. The menu on offer has been changed to include my mother's favourite foods. The activities coordinator is enthusiastic, personable and imaginative introducing enjoyable activities tailored to the different needs of the residents. Personal pampering such as manicures, hair colour, cuts and blow drying is valued and appreciated. The ability to converse in Welsh provided by staff and manager is valued as Welsh is my mother's native tongue. She is well looked after in a homely Welsh environment. A rare find!

My husband is a resident for roughly a year and has been happy and contented over this time. I am very impressed with the situation and I know he is safe here. The staff gives me information on what goes on in the home and I can trust everyone that works in this wonderful environment. It is a pleasure

Well cared for and very patient. Nothing is too much trouble for any member of staff. Residents always look nice and clean and rooms are kept as clean as possible, which must be very difficult at times. Everyone seems to be happy.

The care my Mother received was excellent in every way, she was very anxious and all the staff were so kind, reassuring, and caring, we could not have asked for more, they also made a very difficult time easier for my brother and me. They showed us so much kindness and support.
We moved my Mum not
because there was anything wrong with her care but because we did not feel the environment was right for her as it was more nursing care than residential and Mum did not have the company and stimulation due to conversation etc that she needed.

My father was in Cartref Anwyl-Fan for 14 months before he died 3 weeks ago. It was the most difficult decision of our lives for Dad to leave home and receive 24 hour care. Dad did take some time to settle, but he did eventually and that was due to the support, care and dedication of all the staff continually
reassuring Dad and working with us as a family to help him settle. The staff are caring and offer the best possible care in often very challenging circumstances. The home manager is outstanding and clearly extremely dedicated. Dad became very unwell a few weeks ago, receiving end of life care and the whole team were an incredible support to both Dad in his last hours and our whole family. We cannot have asked for more and we will be forever grateful to them all. I hope the Caron group management realise what a great team they have at this home.

Friendly staff, caring and attentive. Good environment, safe working procedures. Well looked after, does not yet join the activities as is hard of hearing, will probably engage in activities when she has a hearing aid.

Both my husband and I feel that the care provided by Cartref Annwyl-Fan Care Home is excellent. She is always clean and well-presented when we visit. She is not always an 'ideal patient' as her lack of sight, inability to walk and failing memory make her very frustrated. She has always had a sweet tooth
but of late, her appetite has decreased even with the unfailing attempts by the staff in encouraging her to eat more. We have no complaints with her care and would like to commend the staff (carers, nurses and administration) on their unfailing patience and understanding of her condition.

My mother has been at Cartref Annywyl-Fan Care home for 9 months. It is evident that the care she has been given during that time has helped her well being. There is an awareness of the need for stimulation by the organised activities and visits outside Cartref Annwyl-Fan. I feel able to call in person
or on the telephone anytime and the staff are always welcoming and ready to give me an update if I so wish.

Cartref Annwyl-Fan Care Home and its staff have been such a comfort to me having a father living 250 miles away and suffering from PSP. I know that each day he is looked after by staff I have found nothing but helpful and very pleasant. When I arrive to visit, often doing a 500-mile round trip, the
staff even look after me! My dad moves nearer us this week but as a family, I cannot thank Cartref Annwyl-Fan enough. It will feel sad to say goodbye.

My grandmother had been a resident of Cartref Annwyl-Fan Care Home for almost a year when she passed away. The care and support my nan had during her time in the residential home was excellent and the staff went above and beyond my expectations. If any issues did come up they were dealt with and resolved
quickly.


I would recommend this home to anyone and I can honestly say not only did they care for my nan but they also offered me support and advice along the way.

The staff at the care home are very good with my aunt. When my aunt got ill, the home did not let me know. I visit every Sunday but can get a taxi if I need to get there at any time to see her as I have to walk with a walker.

My mother spent 4 years at Mountain View in Cartref Annwyl-Fan and during her stay the staff, including carers, cooks and cleaners showed my mother the utmost respect, compassion, patience, humour and professionalism during her stay until she unfortunately passed away. As a family, we were always made
to feel welcome and were always involved and informed of any decisions made regarding her health and well-being, especially towards the end.


The staff at Mountain View (Dementia Care) truly are a credit to the caring profession.

My mother has been at Annwyl-Fan for 18months. She has settled well and is happy. The care and compassion shown to residents is exceptional. They are treated as one big family, they experience days out, a variety of activities including visiting artists. My mother always looks presentable and has her
hair and nails done weekly.
All staff and management are welcoming and approachable. During a recent residents meeting, residents and family members were encouraged to discuss any issues that arose.
The home displays a 5-star rating and the excellent food provided is a testament to this.

At Cartref Annwyl Fan, we are committed to ensuring residents live in a safe environment which meets all their needs, whilst making sure the home is comfortable, homely and calm. The care team and myself have developed wonderful relationships with the residents and their families and I love spending time with our residents and getting to know their likes and dislikes. I am passionate about delivering the best person-centred care possible and encourage all residents and their families to give feedback so we can continuously improve.
