I am deeply grateful to the entire staff at Park House Court for the exemplary treatment of my mother who received respite care at the home recently. As a daughter, I was made to feel most welcome, and each time I visited, which was often, I was struck by the kindness of the staff to everybody. The
level of care was second to none and we felt like part of a big, loving family. I would recommend Park House Court to anyone needing respite... staff are very knowledgeable and professional, nothing seems to be too much trouble. Thank you to everyone who saw to Mum's needs. It was not unnoticed. Again, a big thank you to all.

My father spent the last months of his life at Park House Court Care Home. I can't thank the staff there enough for the warmth, kindness and care given to him. I was made very welcome when I visited.

Park House is a very spacious environment for both residents and visitors alike.
There are lots of designated areas where you could visit your loved one, apart from their personal room.
There is ample stimulation around, aquariums, grand piano, old fireplaces, and of course, the amazing staff who
engage well with the residents. On one shift, a care worker had picked up one Welsh word and used it to address my friend... it made all the difference, and my friend replied in Welsh, and we all broke out in laughter! It was a magical moment I will always remember. This was my second visit to the home, and I feel the staff are so dedicated, and my friend was full of praise. I can't praise them enough, either for what they do for our loved ones. It's not easy for anyone to make the transition into a care setting, respite or long-term, so to know that the needs of our loved ones will be fully met brings great assurance.
Thank you very much.

Fantastic, couldn't ask for more.
Dad's been there a week now, and every day fills us with more confidence that we couldn't have picked a better place. The staff are stunning, nothing is too much trouble (honest, nothing..!) and they do everything with a smile on their face. Everything about Park House
Court tells you that this is a place full of people that really care about getting it right ... and they have. Staff.... amazing. Food... outstanding. Home itself.... spotless. These wonderful people have made a very, very difficult time for my family a whole lot easier..... a huge thank you.

My father is in the dementia unit at Park House. The level of care is fantastic. The understanding ALL the staff have for the relatives on such a very upsetting and hard time. Nothing is too much trouble and they are there for you as well as your family member. I've learnt a lot from them. They are
on the ball with everything and soon spot any problems. I would recommend Park House to everybody. Keep up the good work.

Current Review Score: 7.8 (7.847)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 7.8 (7.847) out of 10 for Park House Court is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.6 out of 5 from 2 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.2 out of 5 from 2 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.619 for Park House Court is calculated as follows: ( (14 Excellents x 5) + (6 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 21 Ratings = 4.619

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 3.228 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Park House Court is based on 2 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 = 3.125

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 97 registered maximum number of service users is 19.4. 2 Positive Reviews ÷ 19.4 = 0.103

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
