I moved in just before lockdown and I couldn’t have asked for better it is so good and everything is up to date. I had a surprise and I am more than happy here. At home, I had loads of friends and I came to Bryn Celyn and I have made wonderful friends and the team are great to me. January was a very
special time for me and I had a really special Birthday and this care home went above and beyond and made great memories for me and my family.

I have nothing but praise for the hardworking, caring staff at Bryn Celyn. The care and compassion they show are second to none. My dad has been there for 3 and a half years, the staff are part of our family and they treat us the same. We can never thank the staff enough for the way they have cared
for dad during this awful pandemic, it gives me comfort knowing he's cared for by such caring people. Dad enjoys his food there and there is a very high standard of cleanliness. These carers are angels in disguise. Highly recommend.

I have been a resident for about eighteen months and I have found the staff at the home to be caring, compassionate and professional. Any concerns I have had have usually been dealt with promptly despite some staff shortages. I am able to undertake a good variety of activities along with the good friends
that I have been fortunate to make here. We have a wonderfully efficient laundry service and the meals here are varied and of a good standard. I am enjoying it here.

I get on with the team at Bryn Celyn, we mostly have a laugh. I don’t always like the food but I have always been fussy, they do their best. I’m happy living here, I like my room and have all of my personal things close to me.

My mother has dementia. This is her 4th year at Bryn Celyn care home. She is extremely well looked after by all the staff. The staff work tremendously hard and are a credit to Hallmark particularly during this awful year. They should not only be applauded but compensated for the extra hard work and
long hours they have contributed to ensure a safe environment.
Well done all at Bryn Celyn!

Bryn Celyn is well kept. The staff are organized and friendly and always go out of their way to support the residents as well as their families. I live in the US so even before lockdowns and social distancing, the team at Bryn Celyn were great in supporting regular video catch-ups with my mom and keeping
us connected. They take care of the little things as well as the big.

My mother has been living in Bryn Celyn for two and a half years now and she is so settled there. The staff have looked after her through some extreme circumstances, including pneumonia, TIA's and Covid. It's thanks to them that my mother is still here. I feel part of the Bryn Celyn extended family
and have always had a great welcome by all the staff and management when I visited my mother. Since the pandemic, visiting has stopped but during the summer they sorted an outside visit in a gazebo, following all the Covid protocols. They have since done video calls between myself and my mother which has obviously helped us cope with not being with each other.
They still try to keep activities going as best they can to keep everyone's spirits up, even though they must be stressed themselves. My mother and I look on the staff as good friends that we can rely on.

Bryn Celyn is a very friendly place. The residents are well looked after and there are plenty of activities to keep the residents entertained. During this difficult time the staff have gone above and beyond their call of duty and I am very grateful to each one of them for keeping our loved ones safe.

Amazing home, clean and fresh. Staff are always willing to help and friendly. The manager is full of life, very helpful and knowledgeable. They have a variety of activities and always put residents care and welfare first. A first-class home, which is highly recommended.

My Dad loves the home. He has settled really well. Your home looked after him better than the hospital. Cleaned his foot, not swollen anymore. The only thing I find difficult is to talk on the telephone to my Dad.

Bryn Celyn has lived up to expectations. My mother-in-law has been treated with patience and loving care. She has enjoyed a trip to Swansea and Mumbles with the home and the activities for the residents are numerous and varied.

My Dad has only recently become a resident, but so far the staff and management have been faultless. The care and friendliness of the staff are second to none. One issue is the continuous use of agency nurses. This has caused some problems. I know the management are trying to recruit nurses who are
really needed. I also was surprised that there was only one qualified nurse on nights, usually agency!

On the whole, a good care home, however, there have been some occasions when left alone eg on the toilet, he has fallen and hurt himself, which would not have happened if he had been supervised. The cleanliness of the home is excellent as is the diet provided for the resident. Staff are helpful when
any issue is brought up.

At first we, as a family, were naturally apprehensive about our mother going into residential care. However, our fears were soon allayed. The staff are approachable and friendly. They treat the residents with care, dignity and respect. There are numerous activities for residents to participate in if
they so wish, whilst respecting those who chose not to. The en-suite rooms can be personalised to each resident's personal tastes and personal items from home can be brought in. The cafe is a lovely place to meet and on-site.

Excellent staff. Can't do enough to help you. Well organised activities although some good ones have not been repeated when the contract was out. Food is excellent with a good variety of meals and choice. Facilities eg the cafe area are well thought out and give residents and visitors an informal place
to relax and chat. Would definitely recommend this nursing home.

Hello, I am the General Manager at Bryn Celyn Care Home. I have over 16 years of experience working within care homes. I am a Registered General Nurse with a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management and I have recently become a Nursing Workforce Standards Champion with the Royal College of Nursing.


I love my role and I am passionate about delivering high-quality, individualised care within our beautiful, homely surroundings. We have a great team here at Bryn Celyn and as a small community, we offer a lot of fun and energy making us that little bit unique.
