My mother-in-law was 100 today. The home welcomed all her large family and made us very welcome.
They clearly have great respect for her and treat her with dignity.

I visited in August for my great auntie's 100th birthday celebration, what I observed was how caring your staff were around her and ensuring she was ok and comfortable, especially with so many family around her. I could see they were incredibly attentive to her emotions and needs, you could tell they
knew her very well and vice versa. I had a great afternoon visiting and all the staff were very friendly and welcoming and supportive to the family. Thanks for making it such a great occasion for us all.

Fantastic care home - the staff are so amazing. Two members of staff, in particular, are so amazing. We are so happy that my wife's grandmother is in this home - it's clean, she is well looked after and very happy. The care she received during covid really made us very happy. The activity room is fantastic.

Celebrating my nan's 100th birthday with family. Staff very welcoming, allowed us to have a room for the buffet. Allowed us to stay for a couple of hours. Staff on hand to help. A big thank you to everyone for making this a special occasion.

Due to the pandemic, I only visit my Aunt once a week. I find the home to be very good, nice and clean and my Aunt seems to be very happy there. Her 2 carers look after her very well as do the rest of the staff. I am quite happy as well.

My father has settled in well, and the staff are very caring towards my dad. He has struggled with losing his sight, and the staff adapt to this, keeping him company. Genuinely care for the residents.

Costs for respite care are ridiculously expensive. Care of the nursing patients and care of respite patients is good.

My mother was very well cared for during the pandemic. Visiting is still a bit of a problem as by appointment only. No one minds doing a lateral flow test to enter the home but having to fill in forms always as a regular visitor needs to come to an end. In Wales in 2 weeks everything will get back to
normal, so visiting our relatives should get back to normal. 2 years is a long time for elderly people to not see their families, their mental health needs to be considered.

The last two years have been a difficult journey and we continue to do our utmost to keep our residents and colleagues as safe as possible during these unprecedented times. Whilst we understand the frustrations of continued testing and risk assessments, as covid is still very prominent in the communities, we have a duty to ensure, as much as possible, that we prevent the virus from coming into our home. We offer visits for residents either in a visiting area or in their rooms. We were lucky enough to be allowed in to celebrate a 65th Anniversary due to Covid with both of them in this wonderful care home together. The staff went above and beyond to make it safe for several of us to celebrate this special day with them, the staff made a lovely spread and a celebration cake,
put bunting up. What amazing staff you have working here, with the love and dedication they have for everyone there. Thank you again for everything you all do.

Very happy with the care my mother receives as the carers are hard-working even when they are short-staffed, which is quite often.
My mother has been a resident at Aberpenna Court for 5 years and in all that time has not had any improvements made to her room. It desperately needs painting and possibly
carpet removed and replaced. Some rooms have had an upgrade and some haven't.
Overall very happy with the service.

Aberpennar Court provides a good level of care and support to my mother. During the pandemic, it has obviously been difficult to visit my mum but the home has tried to accommodate this wherever possible. There has sometimes been a lack of communication especially from management but can see this is
now being addressed as there has been a change of home manager recently with improvement. My main concern is that residents are not getting enough fresh air and a walk around the garden would be a benefit - and would be happy to do this with my mother.
