I am unable to rate the home because we had to have an outside visit through the window, why? We seem to be going backwards. We are now in level zero, have been double-jabbed, can go in anyone's house with as many people as you want, go to pubs and clubs, no distancing in shops or out and about. But
still cannot go into the care home to see my 94-year-old mother. It's time to open the doors now so we can be with our loved ones.

I have been extremely pleased with the care and support my mother has received at the home. The staff are excellent. They are supportive and very professional at all times. The home has a very friendly atmosphere and I am so pleased the family chose Aberpennar Court for my mother's nursing care.

My mother received excellent care at Aberpennar Court. We were made to feel so welcome whenever we would visit. In her last days, the staff were so supportive to us as a family and my mother's well being was always their priority. All the staff treat residents with respect and are so caring. The rooms
are lovely and there is always lots of activities for the residents.

My aunt has been at Aberpennar Court for approximately 2 months and so far I have been very impressed with the nursing home. The staff are all very helpful and friendly when I visit and more importantly, my aunt is very settled, content and happy.
She loves the food always looks clean and tidy and
her hair is washed and cut. The staff are very attentive and I have already recommended the home to a friend whose mother is coming here.

The care home put on an 80th birthday for my mother and it was made so special for her. I cannot thank them enough.

My husband stayed at your care home for two weeks. The first time which he enjoyed very much as a singer came to entertain them. He stayed for a week in May also which he looked forward to as he knew what to expect. All the staff were great and made him feel most welcome. His room had TV and ensuite
bathroom. He enjoyed his meals also. We were glad we found such a good place for him. Unfortunately, my husband died on 30th July 2017. Thank you.

I have been quite happy with the care my husband receives at this care home. The staff seem friendly and helpful, although we did find him a couple of times sitting in wet trousers.
One time we were told he'd spilled water on himself but when he stood up it was obvious he'd wet himself badly.
A doctor
was always called when needed I think, so he was given medication when needed.

Making my mum a resident of Aberpennar Care Home saved me from having a health breakdown. It was the best decision for me, mum and my husband. Mums health issues were worrying, diabetes and living in a one bedroom flat meant that one of us had to sleep there every night on an armchair, we had to prepare
all her meals, except her breakfast, as she always had cornflakes and this never varied until the day she passed away.
Mum was happy, made many friends, residents and members of staff. She felt safe and well, cared for and she called her room 'my flat' and never considered moving anywhere else.
It was her home, thank you for everything.
