With a large, landscaped garden for residents to enjoy, a therapy dog named Archie, and various features within the home – including a social café, activities room, and traditional pub – Shire Hall is a place where residents thrive.

Shire Hall Care Home is a wonderful and welcoming place. Very warm and clean social areas and the staff are second to none. Next to being at home, I don't think Mum could be in a better place.

I have visited my friend on a number of occasions and each time the staff have been really friendly. The home is spotlessly clean, unlike other care homes I have visited. The cafe in reception is a lovely area to bring my friend for a drink and cake. Everyone is so nice and I am happy that my friend
is getting such excellent care.

I have been a resident at Shire Hall for 15 months. The care I have received in that time has been excellent. I had been hospitalised for 13 weeks with septicemia, I couldn't talk, lost 18lbs in weight but since being at Shire Hall, I communicate and make myself understood and I'm eating really well.
The staff are so attentive to residents needs and offer support to me when times are difficult. I am always made to feel welcome from the receptionist, the staff in the kitchen and cleaning staff. All in all Shire Hall is a very 'Happy Home' and have made this difficult time so much easier. Thank you.

My nan has a bad experience in a previous care home and disengaged from all the activities. Since she moved into Shire Hall, she is always smiling, engaging in the activities and talking to everyone. The services are amazing, staff are great. Best care home she's been in.

My mother who is now 94 has been in the home for 18 months and she has settled in very well. She likes the food and is eating well. Last year she fell and broke her femur but was back on her feel in no time at all.
The food is excellent and the meals are enough and more!!


The carers are kind and

considerate and always make sure that the resident's dignity is considered all the time.

It is very distressing hearing your mother going into a new care home. After previous experience, I was anxious about the establishment. However, she has settled down well. She is happy. She loves the staff and gets along with all activities with other residents. Overall, happy.

Having spent a long period in hospital, we were told my mother needed nursing care. Having viewed several care homes and read their inspection reports we also spoke to several people experiencing the same process and decision making. We chose Shire Hall having been recommended by several people and
are extremely pleased with the care, staff and friendly environment. It has reassured us that the choice was right and helps us deal with mum's dementia.

We are a life long friend to a resident who we visit quite often. We always have a wonderful welcome and a wonderful report on him. Every body likes our friend and he has a lot of lovely friends.
