It is so good to see my mother enjoying the company of the other residents. The care and facilities are very good. All the family think that this home is what was needed for our mother, as she was mostly on her own in her home.

Generally very good, however, there was one male carer whose attitude was not so good. This was reported a few times but the carer still remained with my father.

I am extremely happy with the care my mother is receiving. The home is always spotless and no sign of urine smelled. Always fresh and this is something I have observed in other homes not to be. So 10/10 from me. The staff are hard working, very kind and patient. Cannot do enough for the residents. The
sounds of laughter as they engage with residents. In a perfect world, there could be more staff but with the staffing levels they have, they are doing an incredible job.

My mum passed away on 5-6-24 in St Martins Court after 9.5 years and in that she was looked after to a very high standard. The staff were so polite to mum and family and we couldn't have asked for anything better. Would recommend the home to anybody you should be very proud of the management and staff.

My mother-in-law has been here since September 2023. In that time we have found all staff to be very professional in their approach. If we have had any issues the manager has always been very approachable and helpful to help us get these resolved. The home puts activities/shows on for the residents
which is great. The menu choices and food presentation is excellent. Staff always call for a monthly review which gives us peace of mind too.

My father arrived at St Martin's Court from the hospital that he had spent some weeks in. On arriving, the staff knew his needs and addressed them so attentively. The home is extremely clean and very secure, which was so important to me. Each and every member of staff was always friendly and welcoming.
In the very short time that my father was there before he passed away, a care worker there always listened to my questions and gave the answers and the care and respect my father needed. I cannot explain how grateful I am to that staff member for her care, attention and dedication to my father and her job. She is a credit at the home. Thank you so very much.

My dad seems happy at the home. Personal hygiene could be better. Staff are friendly and helpful. Communication of daily activities could be better.

Recommend this care home 99.9% The manager is amazing; she gave me her own mobile number for direct contact. As I said, 99.9% of carers are great! Just one is so unprofessional but had a word with the manager, and the problem will hopefully be solved.

The staff at St Martin's have been more than accommodating to my father and his needs. They have also been wonderful at setting my mind at rest, particularly when he first arrived.


Due to Covid restrictions, I have been unable to see his room myself, but my father speaks highly of the facilities.

This review doesn’t just relate to November 2020 - it includes the entire time my mother has been resident there - since July 2019. To say the staff there have been brilliant would be a huge understatement and would do the staff a huge disservice. They’re all wonderful. Every question has been replied
to, and every request has been met. Most recently, the staff have been immensely accommodating, helpful and understanding. They’ve kept me updated with all procedures instigated by head office - before I’ve had any correspondence. The lady conducting the COVID tests to enable visits to residents has been outstanding. That said, all the staff there have gone above and beyond to help me and Mum. I can’t sing their praises enough - they’re all brilliant. I don’t know what else I can say - if your loved one needs professional care and nursing, St Martin’s Court [nursing care] and the Lodge [residential care] should be at the top of your list for a placement.
