Hillview is located in Sauchie, with a warm family atmosphere, highly trained staff are available to get to know residents individually offering the highest standards of care to the elderly with nursing care including learning disabilities and acquired brain injuries, and dementia care on a permanent and short stay basis.

Professional care is provided amidst homely interiors and scenic countryside surroundings. Made up of four houses, each has its own living and dining facilities and all bedrooms and communal areas are light and airy. All the houses are single-storey to ensure ease of accessibility.

Three houses support older residents with a form of dementia and nursing needs and the newest house is for individuals with acquired brain injuries – including alcohol-related illnesses. Residents aged 18 or over are supported in these houses.

All staff are dementia trained and recognise how important it is for residents to engage in activities they enjoy.

This training also allows the hospitality team and chefs to stimulate senses and increase creativity in the cooking and presentation of food. This can provide a much-improved dining experience for residents living with dementia and or dysphagia.

My husband cannot speak, feed himself, shower, dress, undress or get out of a chair or bed unaided.
Yet he is always clean and smart.
The level of care he receives is excellent.
One of the things I particularly like about Hillview Court is the small units with only 8 rooms in his unit.
It is peaceful
and quiet, I visit three, sometimes four, days per week.
The staff are extremely helpful.

My Brother recently passed away after spending almost 4 years in Willow Unit at Hillview Court care home. He felt at home immediately and settled quickly as he was made so welcome by staff and other residents. His health was cause for concern on several occasions throughout his stay and the support
of the dedicated staff was fantastic. Not only did they care for his every need on a day to day basis, but they made all the necessary arrangements for doctor/hospital visits and wherever possible he was accompanied by the same member of staff. This helped provide continuity of care and gave a better understanding of his complex needs as well as being very reassuring for our family.
Throughout the very distressing few weeks prior to his death, staff were truly exceptional. They provided one to one care ensuring my brother was as comfortable as possible and supported our family by arranging refreshments; allowing us to stay overnight and even offered transportation from their own family members 4x4 during the severe winter snow should we need to get there in an emergency.
I would highly recommend this care home who have our wholehearted gratitude for such commitment and care.

My mother was in the frail elderly unit with moderate dementia. Throughout her 2 and a half year stay, she received excellent care in a very warm and friendly environment. She was very happy there and was full of praise for the staff caring for her. She at all times was treated with respect and dignity.
The staff were very approachable and any minor issues we had during her stay were addressed.
Towards the end of her life, I was impressed by the very personal and professional manner in which her care was managed ensuring, as much as possible given her illness, that the final days and weeks of her life were as stress less and pain-free as could be managed. I wish to put on record my deep appreciation for the care given to my mum and have no hesitation in recommending this care home to others.

Mum moved to Hillview Court care home at short notice following a fire at another home. Delighted with the care, kindness and respect with which she is treated. Staff are extremely patient and take time to keep reassuring mum. Food good and choices given. I have confidence that mum is receiving the

I am very impressed by the care, concern and support staff have given my mum. She can often get upset and tearful and staff deal with her with great kindness and respect. Staff are all very approachable and happy to talk to relatives and pass on any concerns to the nurses. My family are pleased that
we held out for a place at Hillview for mum and we are very satisfied with her care.

My mum became a resident at Hillview Court in March 2016, since that time we have developed complete faith in the staff. They are kind, considerate, work very hard, nothing is too much trouble. I have complete confidence that my mum is in your hands. Her room is always spotless, fluffy towels hanging
in her bathroom, her clothes neatly pressed in her wardrobe. A great place!!!

My dad was admitted into the dementia unit in Hillview over 2 years ago. On admission dad was a challenge both physically and verbally. It had been a long time since I saw dad smile, which was heartbreaking because he had such a wicked sense of humour. Although I know it has been tough for the staff
at times, they have been very patient and caring to dad and this has paid dividends. Dad's smiling again!! He seems so settled, he still has the occasional outburst, but the staff know him well and can see the signs. Dad recognises the staff faces and he seems to trust them. Would I recommend this care home? Definitely. Both the manager and staff are very approachable, they always keep us updated. We can leave dad knowing he's safe and secure.

Laura Davidson

Job Title: Home Manager

Since qualifying as a nurse in 2014, I have supported the region within the support team for Scotland, as well as working for two of our care homes. I joined Hillview Court in 2015, before becoming Deputy Home Manager at Marchglen in 2016. I then returned to Hillview Court in 2021 as Home Manager.


As Home Manager I enjoy the fact that every day is different. I find it very rewarding, to see our residents enjoy a good quality of life. I enjoy the problem-solving and overall running of the service and have an excellent team here to support that.


It is my responsibility to ensure that our residents receive the best care possible, that they are listened to and that their needs are met. It is also really important that my staff are supported in their role to assist our residents.


My biggest achievement has been obtaining my degree in nursing whilst having my son and raising him. Closely followed by becoming the Home Manager at Hillview Court.


I know and love the local area having been here for over 20 years. The scenery is amazing, with views over the hills and wonderful country walks to go on. In my spare time, I like to travel, especially around Scotland, as well as camping and photography – mainly landscapes on my travels. I also love spending time with my son, in particular trips to the cinema.
