The staff are really friendly. They make you feel welcome and nothing is too much trouble. The review is good to have every six months to see how you feel and how the person is doing in the home. It is also good that they keep in touch if she needs anything. It puts your mind at ease that they are well
looked after and everyone seems happy.

My husband has been in the care home for six months now. My family and I find the management and staff excellent. Hopefully, my husband's room will get freshened up soon.

I have had three very dear friends who have gone to live at The Orchard care home and every time I have visited, I have been so impressed with the home. The staff are so kind and caring, they go out of their way to help. They also have a great rapport with the releatives. I would recommend it to anybody
- it is so clean and fresh.

This care home was well organised to carry out lateral flow tests, check vaccination certificates etc. and the residents were all ready for us. It was the first reminiscence session for two years, so a bit of re-thinking was needed for the changed circumstances.

Mostly excellent carers in Ambrie Unit. Girls do amazing work! The care given to my husband is extraordinary on a daily basis. Better communication from management to the family would be better.

I visited a friend in the Orchard Care Home last week. I was most impressed with the lovely atmosphere in the home. The entrance hall is so bright and welcoming. The room where I met my friend was very comfortable with a lovely view of the garden. The manager and staff were all very helpful, friendly
and efficient. All Covid tests were done in a professional manner. Residents had just been to their first church service for a long time. How lovely it was to hear everyone singing. I look forward to my next visit.

My mum was recently admitted to the home to allow us to have a holiday. She had just been discharged from hospital following a fractured hip. She is very set in her ways and it was important that the home supported her with her routines. They did this while promoting her independence which was needed
for her return to her own home. Mum tells everyone how well she was treated and how good the staff were. As a family, we can’t thank them enough!

Poor quality meals, certainly not a nutritional diet. Very concerning that this has come from a nutritionist at head office. If there are no improvements, I will escalate these concerns. I was so appalled by these meals that a took a picture of them. I would appreciate feedback on how this matter will
be rectified. This appears to be a cost-cutting exercise, poor quality meals and more profit, not benefitting the care and nutrition of the clients at the Orchard. I have been in healthcare for well over twenty years and never been so appalled by the nutrition of vulnerable adults.

We are very sorry to hear of your concerns regarding the quality of food provided. We are aware that you had discussions with the Home Manager regarding this situation and plans were put in place to look at sourcing products from alternative suppliers and also reviewing menu offerings for your mother. For residents on modified texture diets, it can sometimes be difficult to give as wide a choice as we would like as some foods are not able to be textured to the correct consistency. Our menus are developed by our in house nutritionist and Hotel Services team to ensure that the meals contain appropriate calories / protein etc. We are sorry that you were not satisfied with the menu offerings but we can assure you that your concerns were listened to and acted upon.

The staff at The Orchard have worked selflessly and tirelessly throughout the coronavirus pandemic to care for my father-in-law and all the other residents. They have been there for him when we weren't able to be there, and we have always felt he was in safe hands. The staff at The Orchard are highly

My father-in-law is very happy and settled at The Orchard. The staff are excellent - attentive to all his needs and care requirements. My father-in-law enjoys the chat with the staff too. My brother has been a resident here for not quite two weeks. He has settled much better than we expected and the staff have already formed a friendship with him which is caring and supportive. The atmosphere in the home is pleasant and relaxed and residents are treated with dignity and as individuals.

Very impressed with the way management and staff managed my mother's condition and presenting behaviour. The home environment sometimes presented as somewhat chaotic and noisy, however, overall I am very pleased and felt content that she was being looked after.
