Located on the outskirts of Falkirk, in a peaceful residential setting, Barleystone is a purpose-built care home offering nursing and nursing dementia care.

The extensively trained team will deliver all the specialist care and support services that loved ones require.

Personalised care plans consider not only medical, personal and dietary needs, but also the individual’s likes and dislikes, religious preferences, and any suggestions from family members that might make the resident's stay with the home that little bit more enjoyable.

Assisted by suggestions from the residents, the home’s wellbeing coordinators organise a varied year-round programme of things to do.

Many residents take pleasure in hobbies, including baking, writing, gardening, dancing, painting, quizzes, and playing chess. Some enjoy being a member of the residents’ forum.

I find the staff welcoming and very willing to provide assistance when asked. I'm unsure which activities are provided for someone who is immobile such as my mother-in-law. She has difficulty swallowing which means the evening meal which we help feed her can be difficult for her. Overall I think the
staff do a great job but the residents would probably benefit from having more people there to chat with. I appreciate staff are very busy. The lady who is new on the care team is particularly good with the residents.

Barleystone is a welcoming care home with great staff and facilities. My husband is very settled and comfortable at Barleystone.

Mother in law is well looked after. Always clean, tidy and appears happy. Have noticed interaction with staff (always a good thing).

At the care home you always receive a warm reception from the office staff on arrival, followed by friendly care staff and nurses. Friendly care home with staff willing to assist in all matters.
