As Manager of Forth Bay, Fiona leads her professional staff team in providing the highest level of residential and nursing care and support for those living at the home.
Fiona joined Forth Bay as a newly qualified Staff Nurse in 2001 and has since taken on a number of senior roles including Charge Nurse in 2003 and Deputy Manager in 2006. It is this in-depth knowledge of the home that has equipped Fiona well for the role of Home Manager, where she will be working hard to ensure that those in her care lead happy and fulfilling lives, whilst maintaining choice over the care and support they receive.
‘I strive to give our residents the care and lifestyle they wish to have and endeavour to involve them in every aspect of their care.’
As well as spending time with residents and making sure that they are comfortable, safe and happy, Fiona sees it as an important part of her role to act as a mentor to her team. She firmly believes that a happy, fulfilled and motivated staff team will be in a better position to consistently deliver a high standard of care.
Away from work, Fiona enjoys a range of hobbies including arts and crafts and having lived in the region for over 30 years, she loves nothing more than taking in the picturesque local scenery whilst walking her beloved dog.
