Angusfield House Care Home provides nursing, dementia, and palliative care and is located in Aberdeen's West End, close to shops and public transport.

Residents are less than two miles from the city centre and just half a mile from Hazelhead Park.

This attractive building has been adapted as a nursing home and has a purpose-built extension that provides nursing and social care.

Accommodation at Angusfield House is provided in single occupancy rooms, some of which are spacious enough for sharing.

Angusfield House features TV lounges and a quiet sitting room for relaxation and separate dining rooms, where residents can socialise at meal times are also available.

Traditional home cooking using fresh produce is served with residents being able to select from the choices available daily. Special diets can be catered for.

A good range of activities are offered for residents. The home can arrange for chiropody and dental services if required. Regular visits are made to the home by an experienced hair stylist.

All the staff at Angusfield are amazing I couldn't have wished for my Mum to be in a better place. She is always treated with the up most respect and kindness. The home is a lovely environment were she feels safe and secure. It gives me great peace of mind knowing that she is being so well looked after.

Angusfield is a fantastic home; they have been caring for my aunt for 4 years now. I am always impressed, when I visit, by the incredibly high standard of care. It always seems that nothing is too much trouble for them. They work hard to ensure residents are comfortable, happy and have plenty of interest
to do. When I last visited, it was a lovely day and the staff brought all the residents, who wanted to do so, outside. This is a long process with elderly and frail people. No one was taken in a wheelchair if they didn’t need to, or want to; even though it takes much longer to assist people to walk. Then suncream was applied and lunch diverted so people could eat al fresco! Wonderful. Whenever I ask my aunt what she thinks of the home she has nothing but praise - so top marks!!

My mother has been a resident at Angusfield House (Benhope Unit) for around a three year period.
In this time, I feel my mother has always been treated with respect, as an individual and her needs are always met.
I feel I can approach staff and management at any time.
The carers are warm and friendly
in manner and always show kindness and compassion towards my mum.

I am extremely glad my mother is a resident of Angusfield (Brighterkind). The staff and management are very professional, kind and caring. My family have noticed my mother's care has been first class with various entertainments and activities which not only cater to her physical needs but her emotional

On first visit to the home we found that the place was spotless and there was no smell. The staff were very approachable and polite.
Since then we find that the standard is just as good as when we first visited. All the staff are very obliging and really care for the residents. They go out of their
way to make the residents comfortable and clean. We are delighted therefore with our choice of care home.

The manager and his team are absolutely excellent, very kind and caring.


However, I personally feel, after all the lovely and beautiful redecoration, the wallpaper in the lounge/dining area downstairs is very depressing and not in line with the upstairs lounge.

Residing 150 miles in Glasgow coupled with infrequent visiting creates difficulties in keeping abreast of my cousins day to day wellbeing and requirements.


However, this is offset by the efforts of the Angusfield House Care Home staff who keep me fully up to date on any issues or problems arising.

They also respond to my regular telephone calls with a detailed review of my cousin's condition.


As outlined in my responses, I am fully satisfied with all aspects of the home and the care which my mother receives.

After reviewing a number of care homes in Aberdeen and district, I chose Angusfield House because of the clear level of excellent care for residents which is obvious from the minute one crosses the threshold. Residents really are treated as if they are in their own home and carers and nursing staff
treat everyone with a degree of love and patience, which is inspiring. My aunt is happy, stimulated by daily floristry and her preferences regarded and listened to. I am very satisfied with her care.

Bob

Bob Fenwick

Job Title: Home Manager

Bob has been working in care for over 20 years. He is a registered psychiatric nurse and a registered general nurse who has long-term service within care. Following graduating from university, he worked as a nursing assistant in a psychiatric hospital. He enjoyed it so much that he decided that this would be his career. He loves building a good team as he believes this is the foundation of excellent care.


Outside of work he is an avid cyclist and loves listening to music. Some of Bob’s proudest and most impressive achievements include parachuting out of a plane, white water rafting down the Zambezi River and seeing the sunrise on top of Mount Sinai. He is a firm believer in facing problems head-on and getting things done.
