Right from when Dad moved in, we were all made so welcome. The staff were friendly, attentive and caring. They did everything possible to help Dad settle in. Staff regularly communicated with me on Dad's well being. When Dad's health and mobility changed they made sure he had the proper aids to keep
him safe and comfortable. With the Covid restrictions, staff have helped me keep in touch with Dad, by phone calls and Facetime. There are also lots of pics on Facebook of all the activities on offer, which is great to see. Sadly, Dad has passed away. Staff showed compassion and supported me at this very sad time. It was so reassuring to know that Dad got the best care there is at a time he needed it most and for that I am grateful. The management and staff are fantastic and should be proud of themselves for doing things right. Unfortunately, I had experienced another care home in the same area that are doing things so badly. Well done to all the staff at Deeside and thank you for caring.

My granny has come into Deeside Care Home from being in hospital for 9 weeks. She has dementia and has found it hard to settle. The staff have been wonderful and caring. She is still unsettled but getting calmer as the days go on. My family are very impressed with every member of staff at Deeside.

Safety/security is less than excellent because of some patients/residents wandering into others bedrooms during the night. Several activities are on offer but I have been unable, or more correctly, unavailable mostly. I can say that I am overall, very impressed by Deeside Care Home and grateful for
the time and care given to my sister and myself.

My sister was in an 'interim' room - waiting for residency.
Everything was truly excellent; staff at all levels - competent, efficient and very kind.
Food good too!
One negative aspect: a patient wandering the corridor, opening doors of other patients' rooms.

Deeside has some excellent members of staff and many good qualities (including the atmosphere, food and activities) however, I was disappointed in the end of life care experienced by my father and would not recommend it for this category of resident unless changes are made. Buzzer response times varied
and they seemed short-staffed at times which adversely affected the quality of care they provided.

A wonderful, calm environment with great staff and a caring attitude. Nothing is too much trouble and I am made to feel very welcome. I am kept well informed of any health issues that may occur. Overall, a very good place to be.

Staff (admin and care) are extremely friendly and helpful. They remember all residents (and families) names, without fail. The atmosphere is upbeat. If I call in advance to say I am coming to visit to take my mum out, they have her ready. The staff are always well informed. The location of the home
is good.

My mother is deaf and the staff are so patient and understanding with her, they take the time to write things down if she doesn't understand. She is always clean and care is taken with her clothing. My mum only came in the summer, and as with all families, this is a big decision but the staff made the
transition for both parties much easier, knowing she is safe and well cared for which is so reassuring.

The care is excellent, the staff are friendly, supportive and cheerful.
The contact between the staff and myself has been first class and the resident is happy and content.
The premises are clean, the residents are well-fed.
My only reservation is the cost - it is very expensive!

Lot's of carers to help us when asked. I enjoy most of the meals. Sometimes the sauce is too much on the meals. The soup is always very good. I take lots of soup meals. The best soup is potato and veg.

From the moment you enter the building, you are met by very friendly staff who help in any way they can. The support staff are both friendly and obviously enjoy giving the clients every possible support. This is refreshing when you read in the press of other establishments where this is not the case.
The cakes on offer in the coffee lounge are always fresh, which will reflect the quality of food in the dining room. My wife's aunt is always well dressed and is clearly well looked after.

The entire show very good. Knowledge of their entire duties they have to perform and they do this to the very best of their ability. It is a very welcoming nursing home and is a pleasure to visit my friend.

Really impressed with the high level of support that my mother is receiving at Deeside Care Home. She also appears to be thriving within their care environment and enjoys all the activities and pamper aspects of having her hair and nails done every week (if she wants). My mother especially is enjoying
the variety of meal choices and being a diabetic, Deeside have catered for this aspect too. All in all, it's been an uplifting experience for the family and we are now able to spend more quality time with mum as they take care of everything.
