We are committed to providing compassionate, individualised care and welcome the opportunity to address concerns while respecting the confidentiality and dignity of our residents. Any adjustments to hospital prescriptions are made under medical guidance to prioritise our residents' well-being. Our team collaborates closely with GPs and specialists to provide tailored care, particularly for complex conditions like Lewy Body Dementia, which we are highly experienced in managing. We prioritise personal care and mobility support, ensuring these are documented and aligned with professional advice for safety. It is disappointing to hear you felt unsupported, as clear and respectful communication with families is central to our approach here at Grove. We aim to create a safe and compassionate environment. While transitions to care homes can be challenging, our team is trained and dedicated to meeting our residents' needs.

Job Title: Care Home Manager
Joined: 2023
Moira started her career in nursing with the NHS 40 years ago, building up her clinical experience before moving to the private care sector.
She joins Meallmore with over 15 years of managerial experience. Since 2015 she managed an Aberdeenshire home providing residential, dementia and nursing care for another care provider. She most recently spent the last three years as area manager for the same care group, looking after homes across the East of Scotland, supporting nine facilities from Edinburgh up to Dornoch.
Moira continues to build her knowledge base by gaining additional qualifications from Dundee University, and most recently completed a module on ‘Perceptions of a Care Home Nurse’, something she feels passionately about. Moira will oversee the management of Grove Care Home, including ensuring that staff continue to provide the highest quality care for residents.
Commenting on her appointment, Moira said: “Managing a care home is something I love doing and I’m fully committed to developing the home and our staff to reach their full potential. I’m also focused on ensuring the relatives of our residents feel part of the home, as I’ve found that this really makes a difference.
