I find all the staff excellent in their caring nature with everyone in the care home. The nursing staff keep one advised as to the health of the residents and their welfare is to my mind excellent. The residents are very lucky to have such wonderful staff in all areas of the home.

The home has had a huge overhaul over the last six months and exceeds our expectations. The cleanliness has improved 100% and the food quality and experience have improved. The staff are all fantastic, all the new carriers and long-standing are firm favourites. There is plenty of activities on and the
staff all join in to make the residents smile. The management are always available to help and rectify any issues that occur.

Twenty-four years ago both of my parents were in care homes, whilst my wife and I were not entirely happy with the care that they provided; they were still our best option. Before choosing Havencourt, I had visited several care homes and was impressed by how much they had improved, but Havencourt stood
out for the very friendly and relaxed atmosphere at the home. My wife settled in quickly and appears to be happy and contented, and I know that she's getting the professional care that I was no longer able to provide at home. I feel strongly that the right choice was made.

I would recommend this home to anyone looking for a care home for their family member. All the staff are really nice and genuinely seem to care for their residents nothing is too much bother. The home always has lots of activities. Good food, snacks etc., with good communication/updates.

My mum was in Havencourt Care Home for 6 months before she passed away in April. She settled very quickly when she moved in and had a very happy few months there. The staff at Havencourt are a great team and Mum enjoyed a lot of activities, particularly the ballroom dancing. I found the communication
great as I do not live locally and any time I called I got to speak to whoever was looking after Mum that day. Spending more time at Havencourt when my Mums health deteriorated made me realise how much of a homely feel the place has and how happy the residents are. The home has a great team of professionals who are well organised, care very much about the residents and are a great support to relatives.

The care given to my dad was excellent, with regular updates. Havencourt Care Home is a very friendly well run care home and great communication with the Home Manager. Meals were varied and all home cooked.
Overall view, Havencourt is a very cosy care home.

My uncle has been a resident at Havencourt Care Home for several years, but sadly passed away in the home yesterday. We are very grateful for the extra special care that he received during the last week of his life when he deteriorated and was unable to do anything for himself, the staff went over and
above their duties to make sure he was comfortable and pain free. As a family, we are very grateful for the care he has been shown during his time there, and in particular latterly.
I couldn’t recommend Havencourt more and thank them for their professional care.

The staff have worked hard to welcome Mum into the setting.
They have provided a professional but friendly service to cater for Mum's needs.
We have found communication with all the settings easy through face to face conversation, phone calls and emails.
The setting has a homely atmosphere with
many different activities provided to encourage residents to participate.
Mum loves her spa days where she gets pampered for the day.

Mum has been a resident of Havencourt since July 2022. Her transition into the care home system has been made easier by the very kind, considerate, professional staff who make sure all her needs are met, and nothing seems to be too much trouble. We, as a family, feel the care manager and all the staff
are very approachable and always keep us fully updated, which we really appreciate. They are always willing to listen and take on board any of our requests and are keen for us to be involved. The home is always clean, tidy and warm; it has a really comfortable, homely feel.

My father was in Havencourt for only six months and during his stay the staff were superb. Despite his frail condition, he was kept very comfortable until his final day. He was always smart and immaculate and that's a credit to the staff. well done and big thank you to all the staff who cared for my
Dad. I know he appreciated you all.

My mother was in for two weeks respite, and during that time all the staff were kind and friendly, a nice young carer styled Mum's hair, she was so pleased with this. Mum enjoyed all her meals and even had home bakes that look lovely. The staff made mum's stay so easy for her and the family, thank you
so much.

My father is very comfortable here, he loves the staff and seems to be settling in. He loves the food and as long as he is happy I am too. He can be a bit off somedays but he doesn't stay that way for long. The staff keep me informed on what is happening. If he has a fall or needs to see a doctor. As
long as I am updated I am happy, I know he has a habit of falling so it is not always possible to stop it happening. So as long as they let me know and keep him safe I will be happy to have him here.

My partner has early-onset Alzheimer’s. I had lots of concerns initially about him going into respite, Havencourt has put all my fears to rest. He absolutely loves his breaks there. He tells me how lovely the food is and all the people. I have witnessed for myself the warmth of welcome and care when
I take him along.
My partner's needs are not the easiest to deal with, however, Havencourt have gone above and beyond what I expected of them. They have gotten to know him and his likes and dislikes in a short space of time. The staff have supported him and accommodated his needs and requirements with positivity and a smile. I cannot thank them enough for what they do. Highly recommend.

It was lovely to be able to visit my mum again after not doing so for over a year due to the Covid pandemic. Covid testing and procedures around that were great. Staff were very accommodating. Communal areas and Mum's room smelt clean and fresh. Visit was great. Was lovely to hug Mum again. Big thanks
to all the staff who also successfully nursed Mum through Covid. Thankfully she has fully recovered.

My grandmother has been a resident at Havencourt for the past 4 years. As a close family who are used to visiting daily and having constant interaction and access to our loved one, the pandemic and closure of the home to the public has been extremely difficult. It has also been detrimental to my grandmother's
physical and mental health.
We have also had a few issues with my grandmother's care over the years which we have pursued formally. However, the care home has been under new management since late 2020 and since then we have witnessed significant improvements!
The new manager has tightened all policies and procedures, made very positive staff changes, updated many areas internally and changed the culture of the home.
It really is a needs-led environment for the residents now, and that is evident.
We are delighted with the changes and improvement in the home under new management and look forward to future developments.

Current Review Score: 9.5 (9.533)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.5 (9.533) out of 10 for Havencourt Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 8 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.8 out of 5 from 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.781 for Havencourt Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (78 Excellents x 5) + (15 Goods x 4) + (3 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 96 Ratings = 4.781

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 4.752 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Havencourt Care Home is based on 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.8

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 42 registered maximum number of service users is 8.4. 8 Positive Reviews ÷ 8.4 = 0.952

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
