Moss Park Care Home, situated in the lovely village of Caol, Fort William, supports older people to lead their best lives with personalised nursing and nursing dementia care.

The staff in the care home are really lovely. The room is a bit shabby and could do with a freshen up. The staff have coped very well with the Covid outbreak and the care manager has been brilliant in letting us see our relative.

My mum has been in this care home for three months. The care staff have been excellent, kind, and helpful, and I can not fault them considering the difficult circumstances they are working under.
Any medical problems are dealt with very promptly. I am kept informed of any new issues.
My only issue
is the size of the bedrooms, they are very small. My mum likes to watch TV and there is no room to move her chair so that she can see the TV properly, she has to watch it at an angle. The downstairs part of the home is much nicer than the upstairs. These issues are not anything that the staff can do anything about but, the care company needs to bring it up to a better standard.

We are always kept informed of any issues and concerns. The staff are friendly and helpful on the phones or when visiting. There is a happy atmosphere in the home. We are very contented in the fact that he is being extremely well cared for and is happy.

My recommendation would depend on individual need. Management and staff have been doing a great job during the pandemic and this should be recognised. I realise with the level of her dementia, Moss Park is the best place for my mother to be but I feel if there were less bedrooms enabling decent bathrooms
and larger bedrooms it would be much, much better. The food is fantastic and the chef also deserves individual recognition.

My mother-in-law is very well looked after by the staff and management of Moss Park. The food is excellent and activities are varied and very regular. During the recent Covid-19 pandemic, Moss Park took every precaution to keep their residents and staff safe. For that we the family, are very grateful.

My wife has been a resident at Moss Park for about two years. I am very pleased with the way she is looked after. The food is good, the staff are kind, considerate and always make me feel welcome. When I visit, I know my wife is well-loved, after which is a great comfort as my home is 50 miles away.
I phone every day I am not visiting and the staff are always very pleasant. I cannot praise the home and staff enough - God bless them all.

The care my mum is receiving at Moss Park is excellent. The staff provide care and support 24/7 and at all times, the residents are treated with not only dignity but also patience and understanding. Nothing is a problem - whatever she needs or wants is provided. The food is beyond excellent and it is

Excellent, compassionate care. Each resident is treated with respect and regard to individual needs and preferences. The manager is highly visible in the home and always available to us if we have any concerns. Sometimes I think the home could be a little cleaner but overall, we are very happy.

My mother was moved to this care home in December 2018 from another home. We were a bit nervous of the move. When we did arrive the manager had put us at ease. The home is very homely which is what you want for a family member, and also get the added bonus of first class nursing care. The staff have
been very good to my mother and attend to all her needs. She enjoys the food and all the home baking. Any time the Doctor changes her medication we receive a phone call to tell us. There is always something going on, musicians, plays etc.

Eilidh

Eilidh Kerr

Job Title: Home Manager

Joined: 2014

As a Registered Nurse, Eilidh has gained many years’ experience in providing care and support to older people, to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards in care and quality of life for Residents.


Having worked for the company for a number of years, Eilidh closely shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident.


She extends this caring approach to her colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to Residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


She also works hard to arrange events and activities with nearby schools and clubs and is always keen to include the local community in life at Moss Park.


When asked what she enjoys most about
her role, Eilidh remarked:“I love working closely with my colleagues for the benefit of our
Residents.”


Away from work, Eilidh enjoys reading, gardening, historical dramas and sci-fi movies.
