Very happy with Bellville Lodge. The standard for everything is very high. The staff are brilliant and try their best include my mum in all of the activities. Management is great and nothing is too much trouble. I am happy in the knowledge that my mum is being well cared for and I don't need to worry
about anything. I am unable to comment on food and drink as mum has her own tube feed, but I am sure this will be in keeping with the high standards provided for everything else.

My Mum moved into Belleville Lodge Nursing Home in 2023. She is now settled and loves the building, her room and the staff are all wonderful and very caring, food is exceptional.
Mum loves looking out into both the front and rear gardens, which are beautiful and well-kept. On a nice afternoon, some
of the residents are to be found in the garden with coffee/tea and cake.
Her health has improved since being in the care of Belleville.
Activities are organised, but I would like to see a few more being organised, I do think that actual games/activities should be organised 7 days a week (in the morning and afternoon).
One staff member is very supportive and has regularly gone the extra mile with my Mum when she is having a bad day. All the staff are very approachable and definitely want the best for the residents.
The first time I visited Belleville Lodge, both my cousin and I felt like we were being embraced in a warm cuddle. That feeling has never diminished.

Mum has been at Belleville Lodge for nearly 6 months. The building and gardens are lovely and it is in a very peaceful part of town. She settled in quickly despite having lots of reservations about leaving her own home. The manager and the team create a very warm and caring atmosphere and I can be confident
that Mum is being well looked after. Staff are great at keeping me informed of any health issues and the 24-hour nursing care as well as access to the local GP and Advanced Practitioner Nurse is very reassuring. The activities coordinators arrange lots of appropriate and stimulating events for the residents. Family members are always made to feel welcome and are invited to join in. The staff are all very friendly and there is a low turnover of staff meaning that Mum has been able to get to know them and to build up relationships. Staff have all got a very good 'handle' on Mum and her likes and dislikes and they are able to meet her individual support and care needs.

I find the staff and manager to be very welcoming supportive and friendly to myself and other family or friends who visit my relative. Staff show compassion, empathy, and an interest in their resident's lives. They treat my relative with respect, and over the last few months, they know who she is and
what her likes and dislikes are and always try to include her in planned activities, where she often takes part indirectly away from the main group this is where she feels safe. She is very relaxed around the staff and she likes to give them cuddles as well as receiving them back from the staff members. My partner and I can now feel supported in knowing she is safe. I find the manager very supportive and will always be available to have a general chat or to answer questions, as well as all the staff she manages. We always receive a phone call if our relative has been unwell.

The manager and her team are very caring, professional and hard-working.
My mother was always very reluctant to go into a care home but after losing her husband of sixty-seven years and contracting dementia, it was obvious she needed more care.
After looking at several care homes, we looked at Belleville
Lodge and as soon as we entered, we could sense this was the place for our mum.
Mum settled with the care of the manager and staff almost instantly, this made a hard decision for our family so much easier. A few months on and Mum loves the staff and made friends with other residents.
I would highly recommend, this is a safe, friendly, clean and well cared for environment for our elderly loved ones.

Mum has been a resident here for eight months now. We chose Belleville Lodge Care Home because it has a homely environment and was the next best thing to living at home.
It's clean, spacious and has a lovely garden area to enjoy.
The staff are very caring and we know that Mum is given the best attention
she needs and wants.
Residents and their families are given the opportunity to say what they would like, whether it's activities, outings, food and this contributes to a happier stay.
We recently celebrated a family wedding and then sadly a family funeral and every effort was made to get Mum along to take part in both occasions.
All members of staff are warm, welcoming, friendly and show great care to the residents and their families.
We know that mum is safe, secure and happy.

My mother has been a resident at Belleville Lodge for three years. While she would rather have stayed in her own home she needed more care than it was possible to get and is very pleased with her large room looking out over the garden.
The quality of care for her as an individual has been good and
she is much more alert and interested than she was at home. In addition, the medical care is excellent both at Belleville Lodge and with the local GP practice.
During the worst of the Covid lockdowns, every care was taken to support the maximum communication possible for us.
As much as possible Mum's interests are encouraged by the carers who have all been lovely caring people.

Current Review Score: 9.2 (9.176)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.2 (9.176) out of 10 for Belleville Lodge is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 5 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.4 out of 5 from 5 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.814 for Belleville Lodge is calculated as follows: ( (50 Excellents x 5) + (7 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 59 Ratings = 4.814

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 4.362 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Belleville Lodge is based on 5 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.5

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 29 registered maximum number of service users is 5.8. 5 Positive Reviews ÷ 5.8 = 0.862

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
