The menu is always on display for visitors to read and the meals appear to have a good choice. There is a residents meeting held every three months when they are asked for their views on such things as the food and activities on offer. There is also a relatives meeting held every three months when management update everybody on any issues that arise.
Overall we are very happy with how mum has been looked after and would have no hesitation in recommending this Care Home.

Thank you for your feedback on your and your father's recent experience of the home. We aim to provide a very positive experience for families and residents and in most instances we do. We are sorry that you were disappointed and that your father wasn’t able to settle with us. As you know, we had raised concerns before his admission that this may not be the most appropriate setting for his particular needs. Liz Cass brings over 15 years of dedicated nursing experience, having served as a nurse, charge nurse, unit manager, and deputy manager.
From April 2014 to December 2022, she managed the dementia unit at Colinton Care Home and held the position of Deputy Manager. After a brief period of career development, Liz returned to Colinton as the Home Manager, motivated by her passion for elder care.
In her spare time, Liz enjoys adventurous outings with her son, whom she considers to be her greatest achievement outside of her work.
She advises families to trust their decision when choosing a care home. Liz is deeply committed to the happiness and well-being of her residents, always going above and beyond to meet their needs.
In her own words Liz says “My love for working with our older generation has never failed me and my residents are at the forefront of everything I do. I will go above and beyond to ensure the happiness and well-being of everyone within the home. “
