Surrounded by 2 acres of beautiful gardens and mature woodland with views of the Pentland Hills in Edinburgh, Lorimer House nursing home in Juniper Green was originally built as a red tiled family house in 1905 by renowned Scottish architect Sir Robert Lorimer. Many of the original features of the Grade C listed building still remain but they now perfectly blend with modern comforts of the purpose built complementary designed extension, added in 2009.

The Edinburgh care home is registered to cater for 37 residents but its luxurious, spacious single rooms with en-suite shower wet room facilities can also accommodate residents with a preference for a shared room, for example, married couples or close companions.

Lorimer House also has many common areas such as a library and variety of elegant lounges where residents can enjoy company, a daily activity or merely relax. Its ground floor ‘quiet lounge’ overlooks the beautiful sun patio, lush, mature gardens and onto the hills beyond.

The Edinburgh care home is part of the award-winning, family-run Lindemann Healthcare group and all staff are highly trained and motivated to provide a first-class individual care service for all residents and their families.
