Abbey Court is a care community providing the highest level of feelings-based care and support to up to 50 residents.

Care is tailored to suit the individual needs of all who choose to live at the home.

Staff will commit to you from the day you move in and do their best to ensure your stay is as fruitful and meaningful as possible.

The Home is extremely spacious throughout, all rooms are bigger than current standards with most rooms able to cater for couples if they wish to stay together. The four lounge/dining areas are relaxing and homely with plenty of natural light from the large windows. There are also gorgeous landscaped garden areas which are safe for residents to walk safely and there is seating throughout the garden for 69 people. There is also a large greenhouse for planting.

All meals are prepared on site (unless it is a themed takeaway night).

The Home has a ground-breaking Infection Control Policy which greatly reduces the chances of infection breaking out and reduces the chance of spreading if it does.

There is high speed Wi-Fi throughout the home. They are the first home in Scotland to install infra-red fall detection monitoring into their bedrooms to greatly enhance the safety of residents. So far they have 12 units installed and will soon be adding to cover all 50 bedrooms.

Abbey Court was the Winner of the Regional Care Home of the Year - Scotland award 2021 at the Caring UK Awards, and the Manager was 'Highly Recommended' in the Care Manager of the Year awards 2024 run by Stars of Social Care.

Abbey Court is contracted with Local Authorities and they accept local authority funding as well as self funding residents.

There are Daily Activities, weekly church service, bi-weekly exercise classes from an outside company, regular visits from the local nurseries and primary schools, theme nights, entertainment nights/days, quiet spaces for reading and relaxing.

The staff are excellent with my mum and the other residents within the care home. The interaction with them and the residents are excellent and the updates we receive through the messaging group keep me and my family up to date with what's happening is really welcomed.

Excellent care and service under what can be sometimes very challenging behaviour! Staff are always very patient and understanding of the residents varying needs and are stimulating and encourage interaction. We are very happy with Abbey Court and praise all involved.

My gran has been a resident in Abbey Court care home for over a year now and I cannot recommend the home enough, from the care staff to kitchen staff, cleaners and the management each and every one of them is all excellent and all go above and beyond for all the residents in the home and visitors doing
all that they can. The care and empathy that each and every staff member shows towards all the residents is utterly heartwarming and makes myself and my family feel so much more at ease with my gran being in the home in the lovely environment that it is. Overall Abbey Court is a brilliantly ran home and I couldn’t be any happier when attending visits seeing how well my gran is being looked after.

So thankful that I found this home for mum, nothing is a bother for the staff, always accomodating and can always meet mum's needs, all staff are very approachable. They have handled covid perfectly and I recently told this to an inspector when he was in.

My dad was very ill in early February. The doctor attended and advised for an ambulance or to treat dad in Abbey Court. The family spoke about it with staff as no way did we want dad in a hospital. They were fantastic allowing us to keep dad where he was most comfortable and the level of care was amazing
to dad and all the family. I could name too many of the girls that gave dad dignity. Attention. Time and love. We are forever grateful. I would be happy to talk to any of the care commission should they wish to do so.

Abbey Courts' quality and standard of care from all staff at all levels is excellent. They always go above and beyond to ensure residents and families are happy. It’s always a very stressful time placing a loved one in a care setting but I had a very good feeling about Abbey Court on my first visit
and still do to this day. They made me feel at ease knowing my relative would be well cared for and this level of care is consistent.

Staff are fantastic, really helped my uncle come out of his shell. He's comfortable talking to them about his needs. There's always something he likes on the menu as they have plenty to choose from, the home is always immaculate and nothing is too much for them, they always go the extra mile. Can't

Abbey Court has fantastic management. Staff are so professional so much knowledge within the care sector. High standards are practical and highly noticed throughout the home. Residents within Abbey Court are treated with respect and dignity. Families of the residents are all very well informed of anything

I was extremely worried about how my dad would settle going into Abbey Court last year. I really had nothing to worry about. All staff have been absolutely amazing with him and shown him so much care and attention. He is well looked after constantly and I can't thank the staff enough. They have all

A friend of mine is a resident here and as far as I can see, the care is exemplary. The staff are caring and skilled and seem very empathetic when dealing with the people in their care. The facilities are also top-notch. Big thanks to the management for operating such a well-run place.

I had only previously heard the negative press about nursing homes over the past 2 years, however, my opinion of them was changed by 180 degrees after visiting Abbey Court. The press would have you believe that they were in Victorian times, however, this care home was like a modern hotel with its facilities.
The staff were very attentive to the needs of the residents, who seemed very happy to be there.

My Mum is well looked after and pre-Covid family members and friends were made welcome too. The home has done extremely well for the last year during the Covid pandemic to keep residents as safe as possible whilst trying to keep as much contact with family members.

I cannot fault anything about Abbey Court or the level of care given to residents. Nothing is too much trouble and there is always some form of entertainment or activity taking place. I have a friend who lives in Abbey Court, and has since they opened. This place is heaven in comparison with anywhere else. My friend has a lovely room with en-suite, the staff are just so friendly, and personable to both clients and everyone else.
The food is also fantastic, and everything is very
civilised, there are even pets for a truly homely feel. People retain their dignity and sense of humour here.

We have 50 en-suite bedrooms with furniture and profile beds. Any new resident is welcome to bring their own furniture. All rooms are single rooms but most of them are large enough to accommodate couples. We also accept pets.
