Our mother is currently being cared for in Rosepark and our father also spent years in the home, both of them having dementia. Can’t speak highly enough about all the staff from the manager, carers, nurses, domestics, kitchen team and secretary. Every one of them go over and above to help and take such
good care of Mum as they did with our Dad. Mum and Dad are and were made to feel so secure and happy in there care. The only bad thing I can say is the decor and seating could really do with being updated as they’ve seen better days.

Excellent care given to my Uncle (now deceased) and my Aunt during a recent stay. The family really appreciate the care and attention given recently. I cannot sing the praises high enough.

We chose Rosepark Nursing Home because of prior knowledge of personal care, the fact that there was stability of staffing and proximity. All staff are excellent in their friendly and helpful manner to family. They are always kindly and gentle when interacting with residents. We are very satisfied with
the care my sister received. However, we are very disappointed to find no outside garden area where residents can walk. We find the activities programme completely unsatisfactory. There is little variety - mainly quizzes but these are not organised to include all residents. Even films cannot be viewed by all.

Thank you for your feedback. We are currently working with our activities coordinators to develop a varied activities programme within the home. We will do this whilst consulting with residents to identify their preferences to ensure we meet the wellbeing needs of all our residents.

My sisters and I are very pleased with the care in Rosepark. We know our mum is in a safe and happy environment. The staff are exemplary. They are approachable, calm and very patient. Nothing is too much bother. They have shown first-class care to our mum whose health is in decline. They treat her like
their own relative and that is comforting to see.
The residents have a good selection of activities. Great care home, fantastic staff.

Care and attention to residents is excellent.
Care home could do with an update on carpets.
Hall carpets not for dementia residents.

My mother was only at Rosepark for just over 4 weeks after being discharged from hospital. In that time the treatment and care that she received there was second to none. The staff not only cared for Mum but the whole family.

My mother was in the care home for a very short period of time before she died. The care, professionalism and attention to detail provided by the staff was outstanding. At the time of her death she was not alone, and one of the carers that night placed a pair of rosary beads in her hand as they knew
she was a devout Catholic. This meant so much to the whole family.

Current Review Score: 7.4 (7.447)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 7.4 (7.447) out of 10 for Rosepark Nursing Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.4 out of 5 from 2 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.1 out of 5 from 1 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.364 for Rosepark Nursing Home is calculated as follows: ( (16 Excellents x 5) + (4 Satisfactorys x 3) + (2 Poors x 2) ) ÷ 22 Ratings = 4.364

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 3.083 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Rosepark Nursing Home is based on 1 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 = 3

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 60 registered maximum number of service users is 12. 1 Positive Reviews ÷ 12 = 0.083

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
