As well as being suited to the needs of older people with a physical frailty, Whitehills also specialises in care provision for adults diagnosed with dementia.

My father is supported by a friendly and professional team at Whitehalls. He is treated as an individual with dignity and respect. We as a family are kept fully informed by staff regarding my father's care needs. Would recommend this care home to friends and family.

My husband has been a resident in Whitehills Nursing home since April 2015. Due to the recent change in management, there has been a period of unsettlement with established carers leaving and new carers coming in. I can only speak from my personal point of view when I say that I believe the standard
of care my husband receives is excellent. The home is being brought up to an ongoing high standard in all areas and the staff are friendly and helpful. The only criticism I would have is the lack of permanent nursing staff at this time ... However, we have been assured that this has been addressed, as there is an acute shortage of nurses across the NHS due to privatisation. It is understandable that it is difficult to recruit nursing staff for care homes, we have to be patient in the wait for the posts to be filled. In the mean time, the general day to day care is improving and I am very happy for my husband to be cared for here.
