We pride ourselves on offering a positive person-centred experience for both residents and families and I apologise that we did not provide this on this occasion. I can assure you that as soon as all your concerns were brought to my attention, myself and my team responded and addressed them immediately.
It is our privilege to care for your mum and I am sorry for the disappointment and distress caused on this occasion. Three years ago I was promoted to a senior carer and this has allowed me to pass on my knowledge and passion for the job to my peers.
It has always been one of my core beliefs that all service users should be treated with the same dignity and respect that you would expect a family member to be treated with. I also think it is a valuable trait to be available whenever your colleagues need support and empathy whenever they might need you.

Hi my name is Eileen I have worked in Burnfoot House since 2017
I started as a care assistant before taking up the full time role as Activity co-ordinator. I have an SVQ in Social Services and Health Care. My favourite part of my job is getting to Know the residents and their families. Getting to know them allows me to plan activities to suit their needs and preferences making them feel welcome and at home. we currently have a Daily monthly and Annual planner of activities which have been planned around the residents needs and wishes. The activities include one to one time, Karaoke, arts and crafts, gardening, bingo indoor bowels, golf, pamper sessions and when able we will enjoy shopping trips and outings again. My family are very important to me and i enjoying spending quality time with my husband and five children.
