Gillaroo is set in beautiful surroundings and has a lovely relaxed atmosphere.
When you ring to request a visit the staff are always friendly and helpful.
It is evident that my Mum is well cared for and she is very content.
When the staff are feeding her they are very patient and chat to her in a
caring fashion.
When she arrived they did everything they could to make her feel welcome including putting a radio in her room.
The room is bright and clean with new fresh furniture and her personal care is excellent.
I am delighted with the Home and could not wish for better.

Thank you for your review.
We are delighted that your Mum has settled so well.
Se is pleasant and appears to be happy in Gillaroo.
She is a pleasure to care for. She was very surprised that we remembered quickly that she didnt like blackcurrant juice. Small details such as this are very important to staff in Gillaroo.

My aunt has been very well cared for since she was admitted to Gillaroo over two years ago. The staff have always been extremely helpful and attentive to all my aunt's needs, especially those staff designated to look after her personally.
Whether when visiting my aunt or telephoning to enquire about
her, the staff that we have had contact with have always been very accommodating and friendly, despite the day-to-day pressures that they face.
I cannot speak highly enough of Gillaroo's manager and of her commitment and care for the residents and staff.
My grandmother was also a resident of Gillaroo a number of years ago and in my opinion, the same high level of quality and excellence of care has continued to be maintained.

Thank you for a lovely review Raymond. I had the pleasure of also caring for your Grandmother and it was a great privilege to care for both ladies.
We work very hard at giving person centred care and really appreciate your positive comments.

My mother had to move to nursing care after over 6-years in a local residential home due to her declining health. I was terrified the move would kill her - leaving everything familiar behind. Her move to Gillaroo has been handled so smoothly; the staff have been so helpful, caring and kind, I needn’t
have feared. From day one, Mummy has been content, extremely well cared for, and consequently happy - I couldn’t have asked for more. I am extremely thankful to all the staff for their kindness, thoughtfulness, and caring. The staff have all been there for many years, which says a lot in itself. The surroundings are calm and peaceful, the rooms clean and bright, and the overall atmosphere happy. I am delighted with Gillaroo for my mother.

Dear Anne, thank you for your kind review.
It is always a worrying time when there is a change for elderly people.
We are delighted to have your Mum as a resident and so glad that she is settled and that the family are happy with everything.

My dad spent the last 11 months of his life in Gillaroo Lodge Nursing Home. It’s a home from home. My mum also lives there and they had a room together. This meant the world to us as a family that mum and dad were together again after being apart for 3 years when mum had to leave the family home as
she needed nursing care. The care is exceptional. The last 6 weeks of daddy’s life were special times as we could visit daily. We saw at first hand how daddy was treated with such dignity and respect. He was made so comfortable, staff regularly changing his position, assisting him to eat and always having fluids within reach. Not only did they look after his physical needs but also his spiritual by having his favourite hymns played on a CD player throughout the day. They knew that this was important to him as he loved to sing. Daddy was cared for by the most loving and dedicated staff. Mummy continues to benefit from this.
