Situated on the outskirts of Bangor town centre, Bramblewood Care Home is a care home that offers professional nursing care.

It adopts a person-centred approach to all aspects of care taking into account each resident's unique qualities, abilities, interests, preferences and needs in a dignified and respectful manner.

Bramblewood offers care facilities whilst maintaining a homely environment. The home has a range of comfortable, tastefully decorated and well-equipped bedrooms which residents are encouraged to personalise.

Chefs pride themselves in knowing the tastes of residents and preparing a choice of fresh, nutritional meals catering for any dietary and cultural needs.

Staff believe that social interaction between residents and staff provides great mental stimulus to residents which can be far removed from those who live in isolation with only fleeting visits from carers.

Family and friends are encouraged to visit loved ones and to attend any events that are held.

A very careing and attentive team at Bramblewood A regular daily visitor over the last number of weeks I have found staff very helpful in attending ot both my mum's and my requests.
Nice view from room to garden.

Bramblewood Care Home has been a wonderful home for my mum. The staff are all lovely and very attentive. She has settled in well and is well looked after. The staff are lovely and there are frequently activities or music/entertainment.
It is a safe and secure unit.

We have found the manager and assistant manager very professional but also provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
They are supported by a team of nurses and assistants who go the extra mile for residents to ensure they settle in.

Bramblewood Care Home is an excellent care home, the staff are very attentive and kind. I regard them as almost an extension of family. The home is well laid out and well-maintained and is kept clean. If there was a suggestion then I think they could update furniture and fixings.

Great management and staff are very good and make Mum feel so comfortable, always feel so welcome when we visit. All Mum's needs are well looked after and nothing is a problem to the staff. I would recommend this care home highly.

I am very happy with the care my mum is receiving in Bramblewood Care Home.
The management and staff are very attentive and always happy to help with any questions.
Mum's room is cleaned daily and her clothes are always washed with care.

Very pleased with Mum's care in Bramblewood Care Home. All staff are very attentive and engaging. Excellent work by carers and nurses. Lots of activities and events and great care with seasonal decoration. Always kept up to date with Mum's health, condition and care. Happy to trust everyone to give
Mum the best care possible. Spotlessly clean, well-maintained and decorated. Facilities include excellent hairdresser.

My dad has been in Bramblewood Care Home two years now. Dad settled in very well within a few weeks. All the staff are excellent with Dad's care and needs. The manager is also approachable if I have any concerns about my dad. Overall, Bramblewood is a good care home.

My husband has lived in Bramblewood Care Home for six and a half years, during which time he has been well cared for.
I have been made welcome to visit and feel confident that my husband is as happy as can be expected, given his condition.
I chose Bramblewood for my husband because I liked the friendly
atmosphere. The staff are lovely.

My wife, who has Alzheimer's. went into the home at the beginning of January 2024.
The care staff and nurses are generally very good and helpful. A small number of them might be a little more friendly towards relatives who call to visit their loved ones.
Some things in the past have annoyed me. For
example, my wife's glasses and denture went missing and never were found.
A new manager started a couple of months ago and is very helpful, friendly and approachable.

My father has been in this care home for nearly four years now, during this time he has had exceptional care throughout his time. The staff are very good, the food is also very good, and if there are any problems they are dealt with very efficiently.

From the time my dear dad has been in Bramblewood Care Home I can honestly say he has always been treated with tender loving care and have no complaints whatsoever. All the staff always find a kind word not only to say to my dad, but to myself as well as always ready to listen when I have concerns about
his health. He was in palliative care for 5 days last year in Bramblewood as we didn't want him to be in hospital, he got the highest level of care that you could imagine, as did all the family.

My mother came in February 2022, after a major stroke. The care has been exceptional. My mother is always washed and her hair blow-dried by staff. The staff, two in particular and all the girls are fantastic at their job. One other staff member makes sure the inpatients have activities to do and special
days when family can attend. The rooms are kept clean and bedding is changed regularly. The nurses are always ready to answer any question.

My mum has been a resident at Bramblewood Care Home for two years. She transferred to Bramblewood following a sudden deterioration in her health. I appreciated how the staff and management listened to me and helped get her back out of bed and enjoying socialising (as best she can) with the other residents.
The love and care from the staff made this possible at a very difficult time due to Covid. The staff are attentive and kind to the residents. A lot of effort goes into celebrating all occasions and the inclusion of both families and the residents. I am very happy and content leaving the care of my mum with the management and staff of Bramblewood, I am very grateful. Thank you.

My aunt, for whom I am next of kin, is presently 97 years old and has been in Bramblewood since January 2020. She has severe dementia and requires constant care. We have always been very content with all aspects of her care. The staff know her well and are very caring towards her. She is always clean,
neat and appropriately dressed. We find the staff friendly and helpful and are kept well informed at all times. We have no hesitation in recommending Bramblewood to any family.

My mum moved into the care home in November 2021. I found the home’s standard of care for my mum and the visiting family, to be excellent. My mum was always treated with respect and dignity. Whilst no one wants to move their loved ones into a home, Mum was very happy there and asked me frequently ‘how
did you find this place?’ She liked the meals served (a choice was provided) and put weight on whilst she was there having regular and home-cooked meals. Knowing that my mum felt safe, was well looked after, gave me and my family great reassurance. I’d fully recommend this care home.

My mum moved into Bramblewood in October 2021 from another excellent care home because she needs nursing care. I was very worried about her making such a big change, but need not have been. The staff are exceptionally kind and dedicated. They pride themselves on being like a big family and have given
my mum (and me) a very warm welcome. I've seen firsthand the kindness, warmth and affection shown to the residents and feel confident that my mum is truly well cared for.
