Situated in Bangor West, Bryansburn Care Home is a modern, purpose-built 35 bed care home offering professional nursing care for those living with dementia or related illness. They adopt a person-centred approach to all aspects of care taking into account each resident's unique qualities, abilities, interests, preferences and needs in a dignified and respectful manner.

Bryansburn offers modern care facilities whilst maintaining a homely environment. The home is divide into four intimate units enabling residents to relax and dine in smaller numbers. Residents have a choice of four lounge and four dining rooms which feature comfortable and specially designed furnishings. The home also has a range of comfortable, tastefully decorated and well-equipped bedrooms which residents can personalise. The chefs at Bryansburn pride themselves on knowing the tastes of residents and prepare a choice of fresh, nutritional meals and catering for any dietary and cultural needs.

The care home places a great emphasis on social interaction and prides itself on the range of activities offered. An activity therapist holds daily sessions of reminiscence activity programs to provide a therapeutic level of care, with personal choice and individuality paramount. The home carries out a life profile by liaising with residents and their loved ones to find out what their former jobs, hobbies and pastimes were to tailor activity sessions to suit.

Bryansburn encourages family and friends to visit their loved ones and to attend any events that they hold.

I am very impressed with the staff they are extremely friendly and very attentive to my mother's needs. They will drop in to see her and it's lovely to see her smiling when they are talking to her. If my mother is in need of anything, they are straight in to help. We really could not have gotten our
mother into a better place.

My mother was taken to Bryansburn Care Home from the hospital by ambulance, when we arrived some of the staff came outside to welcome us. I can honestly say from the minute we stepped through the front door my mum has been treated with support, care and most importantly dignity. Bryansburn Care Home
is managed sufficiently, all the staff are very hard-working. My mum who lost two stone in the hospital is eating very well, the food is of an excellent standard with a member of staff on hand to assist my mum who can't feed herself. My mum's room is spotless. All the staff do everything possible to make my mum feel secure and loved.

My father arrived in Bryansburn Care Home in November 2021. From the first day he arrived, he was made to feel very welcome. The staff and rooms are always clean and tidy. The food is exceptional and caters to every type of dietary requirement. The home provides a varied programme of social events and
encourages all relatives to participate. A lot of effort is made by staff and management to make my father's stay, a safe and pleasant place.

The staff have been great with Mum who suffers from dementia and she always lights up when one of them comes into her room. Mum is well settled after her first year in the home and the staff keep me well informed of any change in her condition.

My mum has settled into this home extremely well and I can only put that down to all the staff that look after her. The staff are very friendly, both to Mum and her family, they are pleasant and kind and take the time to speak to Mum. The home is very clean and always has a very pleasant smell. Mum's
clothes are well-washed and she always has fresh clean clothes on. The food is always appetising and appropriate to her needs. The manager and staff/nurses always keep us up to date.

My wife has Alzheimers and the care and kindness she receives, is second to none. They keep her clean and comfortable and her clothes are maintained better than when I was doing it. On her birthday, the staff produced a cake and sang happy birthday. A nice gesture. I am really pleased with the level
of care and the kindness of the staff and have already recommended the home to others.

Having researched care homes I was thrilled that Mum was offered a placement in Bryansburn, which was my number one choice. I have found the facilities excellent, Mum's room is very comfortable and inviting and being able to personalise it is excellent. A mini home from home. The care Mum is receiving
is excellent and the staff are compassionate, considerate and take time to interact with Mum. They are also brilliant with family and friends visiting. It was Mum's birthday at the start of December and they ensured it was a good day for her with banners and a lovely home-baked birthday cake complete with candles and a rendering of happy birthday. I was apprehensive about Mum going into care, but I am more than happy with Mum being there and can relax knowing she is in good hands and receiving the necessary and best care. A big thank you to the manager and all the staff in Bryansburn for their care of Mum and for their care of me. Thank you all. Excellent.

All the staff are so helpful, nothing is too much trouble especially when you are so dependent on them to be there for Mum during the pandemic.
We are able to speak to Mum on the phone and via WhatsApp which is so important to the family and for Mum to keep in touch.

I am very happy with the treatment my mother receives. She is always clean and dressed in clean nightwear. Her room is always cleaned and bedding changed regularly. The staff are lovely towards my mother even when she's being difficult. The home did a great job of keeping Covid out at the start of the

How blessed are we to have yourselves to take the best possible care of dad in our absence. During these bizarre and crazy times, you guys have been stalwart in your care, medical attention and compassion towards Dad, providing him with a temporary replacement family until we can take up our mantle
in visiting, caring for and loving Dad as we do. Oh how we miss him so much but your professional and caring team are providing him with the care that he needs until we can be with him again.
We, as a family, are kept up to date with any changes in Dad's medical condition, any needs that he has and his general health, which is a great comfort to us. We also know that your team look after Dad's great passion in colouring in, in ensuring his books/pens are available to him and making sure his TV is on, to keep him occupied during this agonising lonely time that he must be going through. Please keep on looking after Dad for us, we so appreciate all that you do. All our love.

My Mum has been in Bryansburn Care Home for approximately 6 years now. From the day we first visited the home and met some of the staff we knew it was ideal for Mum. The home is always very clean and fresh smelling and maintained to the highest standards. Any time my sister and I have been in to visit
everyone is lovely with the way they deal with Mum. The home are very good at keeping us informed of any issues there are, and it's never a problem when we phone to check how Mum is. We would highly recommend Bryansburn Care Home to anyone who has a family member with dementia who needs care in lovely surroundings.

My Grannie has been at Bryansburn since May 2019. The home is excellent and the staff are amazing. All through lockdown, they kept us fully informed about Grannie with video calls and phone calls. We know she is being well looked after and cared for daily. The manager is always available, as needed,
for a chat or catch up on anything we, as a family, need. Hats off to her and all the staff for the past 12 months as it has been very difficult times.

Our brother has been a resident in Bryansburn Care Home for a few years. He is extremely happy and very settled. During Christmas and New Year, the staff and residents celebrated festivities as normally as possible during these trying times. It's amazing to see posts showing our brother and other residents

It is my opinion that, having met the staff in Bryansburn Care Home, that they have the best interests of all residents at heart. It is a great relief to know that I no longer have any worries or concerns about my relative’s care or well-being. It is evident that all those in Bryansburn take pride in
their vocation; this care home and all of the residents. It’s great to see the owners rewarding their staff with long service rewards and I have to mention how impressed I have been in their professionalism during COVID-19 lockdown period. If you want the best for your relative, I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this home. Thanks to all staff for giving me peace of mind again.

All of the staff in this care home are an absolute credit to their employer. The management/nursing team are professional and the staff are kind, compassionate and very much resident-focused. This is a home-from-home environment. The staff treat the residents like family: with respect and dignity and
the same respect is then reciprocated by families to staff and owners. This home has restored my mother’s faith in humanity. Nothing is too much trouble for anyone; organised entertainment and activities are wonderful. The chef is amazing: if someone has special needs or requests something different he will aim to provide it. Good wholesome cooking that you’d enjoy in your own home. Chef’s speciality has to be his birthday cakes that he makes for the residents! What a treat! Thank you. The only way you will ever find another care home as good as this one is to go to one of the other 3 Burnview establishments! In my experience, this has to be the best care home in North Down and Ards!
