Situated in Bangor West, Bryansburn Care Home is a modern, purpose-built 35 bed care home offering professional nursing care for those living with dementia or related illness. They adopt a person-centred approach to all aspects of care taking into account each resident's unique qualities, abilities, interests, preferences and needs in a dignified and respectful manner.

Bryansburn offers modern care facilities whilst maintaining a homely environment. The home is divide into four intimate units enabling residents to relax and dine in smaller numbers. Residents have a choice of four lounge and four dining rooms which feature comfortable and specially designed furnishings. The home also has a range of comfortable, tastefully decorated and well-equipped bedrooms which residents can personalise. The chefs at Bryansburn pride themselves on knowing the tastes of residents and prepare a choice of fresh, nutritional meals and catering for any dietary and cultural needs.

The care home places a great emphasis on social interaction and prides itself on the range of activities offered. An activity therapist holds daily sessions of reminiscence activity programs to provide a therapeutic level of care, with personal choice and individuality paramount. The home carries out a life profile by liaising with residents and their loved ones to find out what their former jobs, hobbies and pastimes were to tailor activity sessions to suit.

Viewed several care homes and none came anywhere close to the assistance we received at Bryansburn Care Home. They were so helpful and informative at a very stressful time. My mum has been a resident for almost 2 years now and everyone has been on the ball. If there is any sign of infection or change
of mood we are informed immediately and doctors contacted as well. Excellent staff. The activities are great as all the residents can interact and mix. Well done everyone.

From day one my husband was very settled in Bryansburn care home. Since, he has been well cared for, been allowed to be in as and when needed and any medical attention has been delivered speedily. I have been kept up to date on any difficulties or medical attended by my husband. He thoroughly enjoys
his painting, the Christmas dinner get together and is always willing to join in with any activities organised. He gets on well with all the staff and residents. I have always found the management and staff to be very caring and helpful. I am happy to entrust the care of my darling husband to the Bryansburn care home.

My father has been a resident of Bryansburn Care Home for the past 18 months. During this time, he has been cared for with the utmost kindness and dignity. Each and every one of the staff are caring and considerate. The nursing staff anticipate any medical issues promptly and the daily care Dad receives
is excellent. As a family visiting Bryansburn Care Home, we are always greeted in a warm and friendly manner. My father celebrated his 90th birthday recently and with the help and support of staff, we were able to join with him for a very special day, which we appreciate so much.

Bryansburn is an excellent home, the rooms are pleasant and bright. The care home is well decorated and very clean. The staff are excellent and nothing is a bother to them and they treat the residents with care and respect. The food is of good quality and the cooks are very good.

Until her recent death, my mother had been in Bryansburn Care Home for 8 years. She was cared for with kindness and respect. The standard of food and cleanliness and her personal care was excellent. In her final few weeks, the staff did their utmost to keep her comfortable and showed us (the family)
much consideration and support. My heartfelt thanks for all their care.

Looking after my wife for 15 years it got too much for me. I was so glad to get a place in Bryansburn Care Home for her. I only live about 15 minutes from the home so I can visit every day, which makes my life a lot better.

I am profoundly impressed by the standard and quality of care at Bryansburn Care Home, Bangor.
The staff are very well trained and very caring.
They treat my mum (and all of us as a family) extremely well and are very good about the medical side of things as well.

I cannot recommend this Nursing Home highly enough. Since my mother was admitted she has been treated with the utmost kindness and dignity. All of the staff are excellent. They are very considerate and caring. They take the time to talk with the residents and we are always kept informed of any developments
or changes in Mum's condition. The home itself is always warm and cosy.

My mother is profoundly deaf with Alzheimer's, yet the staff all manage to communicate effectively with her. They are all very pleasant and make time to communicate with her and my dad (also profoundly deaf and visits every day) on a personal and caring level. They are quick to contact us over any issues
and offer resolution or advice. If we have any issues they are very responsive. My only concerns relate to my mother's hygiene but this is due to her Alzheimer's and I understand that they are reluctant to force anything upon her.

The care in Bryansburn is top notch. Every time we visited my granny, she is happy and seems very content. Staff are very welcoming, understanding and helpful. The food is great. The hairdressing room is a great idea to keep the old people feel they are still part of the community.
