When visiting my sister, the care home is always warm and clean smelling. The staff are all friendly and there is a pleasant atmosphere.

My wife has been a resident in Chestnut Lodge for over two and a half years, and during that time I have absolutely no complaints about any aspect of her care. We will be married 59 years later this year, and I visit my wife six days a week for over an hour so I see the dedicated, respect and vocational
care provided not just to my wife, but to all the other residents. The care provided by nurses, carers, kitchen and housekeeping staff is exceptional. Food is varied, well cooked and served, and residents, including my wife, who have difficulty feeding themselves are helped patiently by staff. Washing, dressing and toilet needs are sensitively provided. The new manageress appointed recently is proving to be very efficient and professional, and I am confident my wife and all residents will continue to experience a very high standard of professional care. I am totally satisfied with all aspects of the care provided for my dear wife.

Excellent home the staff are very good and attentive and look after my mother extremely well. There is always members of staff available if you need them.

The staff and management take great care of my mother. They always make sure she is okay and spend time talking to her. They make sure she is well fed and are very careful to administer her medication at appropriate times. She is treated as an individual.

My father was cared for in the Chestnut Lodge, for a number of months and the kindness, compassion and genuine care that he received from all the staff was second to none. It gave me great comfort and confidence that he was being well looked after at all times and I was always made to feel very welcome
at the home no matter what time I arrived. I would definitely recommend this care home to anyone who's relative is in need of a safe and friendly place to be looked after. Thanks to all the staff for everything they did for my dad.

I usually visit every Sunday afternoon. Entry and exit to the home is well controlled. The atmosphere inside is reassuringly calm. The staff are invariably friendly and yet professional in their interactions with both clients and visitors. Staff seem concerned for the welfare of clients and relations
between them and staff seem cordial. It is comforting to know that an aged relative is being well cared for.

My mother suffers from vascular dementia and is confused and demanding. However, all staff in my experience treat her with kindness, courtesy and respect. This attitude permeates from the manager down through nurses, carers, kitchen and cleaner staff.

Bright, friendly, clean care home. Staff - both qualified and non-qualified are excellent and have the patient's interests at heart. Level of nursing care beyond reproach. A committed care manager which filters down to caring staff.

Chestnut Lodge provide not just excellent care for my mother ... every member of staff also show huge compassion for my father on his daily visits - understanding the huge trauma he faces with his wife of 57 years no longer living at home.

My father has been in the Chestnut Lodge Care Home for over one year. In the whole time he has been a resident we as a family have found all aspects of his nursing care have been to the highest standard. All his needs are cared for in a caring and dignified manner. The staff and management are brilliant
with him. Any requests our family have made have been met without any problems. We were devastated that daddy needed to go to a home but the staff and management were fantastic in the transition and we are delighted with the care he receives. An excellent home with great care provided.
