My Nan had a rough ride after a fall at home. Many hospital admissions, some good, some horrific. She was put into a "care" home who turned out to have very little care. My mum and auntie fought for her to be moved. We got the option of Warmere Court. The manager was lovely and invited a visit to see
the home. We didn't have this in the previous home. It was such a different place and knew instantly we wanted her here. It was like a home from home. Although, of course Nanna wanted to go home, she felt safe. And I was safe in the knowledge they looked after her as I would. We were made to feel part of the care home family, drinks when we needed them and a member of staff always on hand. When it was near the end, they treated us with care and understanding. They had the utmost respect for her and gave us the time we needed to say goodbye. If everyone could have this experience at such a difficult time, it would ease many pains. Genuine staff who genuinely care. Thank you.

Warmere Court is amazing. As soon as we walked in we could feel a warm atmosphere, residents joining in activities, there was a lot of chatter and music playing in the background. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The manager and nurse were always available to speak to. Our mum was only a resident
for a few weeks but they certainly did everything they could for her. The food was good, everyone from the cleaners, the staff who did the laundry (who I must say never lost any of Mum's clothes) and the care staff were very friendly and helpful apart from one male member of staff who was in the residents lounge with his shoes off up on a chair, I feel this was very disrespectful to other staff.

My daughter has now been a resident at Warmere Court for just over 2 years. She likes all the staff and management. If she has a problem day or night she gets the help she needs, in fact, she's just had a new carpet fitted in her room, she's over the moon. As a parent, her mother and I are very happy
that she has settled at Warmere. She gets on very well with her fellow residents. You have a very good team at Warmere, first-class management and first-class staff. Keep up the good work - 10 out of 10.

My Dad went to Warmere Court from hospital last November because he was too weak to go home. Initially, he was on the nursing floor but was transferred downstairs when he no longer needed as much care.
Although he did not want to be there - all he wanted was to go home - he was actually very happy
there. Warmere Court is a lovely, spacious and airy place with kind and dedicated staff and good food. I particularly liked the relaxed approach to visiting - you can basically visit whenever you like so it feels like home. I don't think I ever came across a member of staff who wasn't cheerful, kind and friendly - no matter how busy they were.
Dad came home today and although he's over the moon I think he's going to miss the place - I know I am.
Thank you Warmere for looking after my Dad.

My aunty spent some two and a half years at Warmere and was happy and well cared for. She thrived there after living on her own following the death of her husband. She was a very quiet, private lady who actually came out of her shell with the care and kindness from the staff. She passed away last year
and was well cared for to the end. Thank you.

My brother-in-law is a resident of Welmere Court and it’s a welcoming community. All of the people who work there are very helpful and supportive of the relatives of the residents. They provide excellent care to the residents often in difficult circumstances. Dignity is at the core of all of them!

My wife’s sister has been at Warmere Court for around 5 years now. Originally she used to stay for respite, and when the time came for her to need 24-hour care, Warmere was our first choice. Recently her health has declined and we have been kept up to date promptly regarding all changes, and have been
able to visit her regularly. The staff are very supportive and friendly, and I can see that my sister-in-law is cared for to a high standard. Although she is unwell, it gives us a little comfort knowing she is where she is, with people who truly care for her. Thank you for everything that you all do, it makes a bigger difference than you know.

We have always been happy with the level of care and support my grandfather has received. Highlighted by his lack of care received in a previous home and the issues he has had with his daughter and former power of attorney, the staff at Warmere Court have been incredible. Whenever he has had a slip
or fall I have been called straightaway and when his health has declined recently I was contacted and informed straightaway. I visited at the same time when the staff were having a meeting with a visiting staff member from the hospital and was included in the meeting. Warmere always goes the extra mile for his birthday and even makes available a space the family can use for a small lunch party. We are very happy with the care and support Warmere are providing my grandad.

My nan lived at Warmere Court from 2019 until her unfortunate passing in July of this year. We were extremely apprehensive about putting Nan into a care home but can honestly say it’s the best decision we ever made for her and that’s all down to the staff at Warmere. They are compassionate, friendly
and professional and all have a brilliant sense of humour too. Nan would always comment on how much she laughed. The care she received was second to none and the support, patience and kindness shown to us as a family in those last difficult days will never be forgotten.

On my daily visits the last year. I have observed the staff at all levels. I am very pleased with their carer and attention to all the patients.
My children, brother, sister and friends who have visited the home and are very impressed with the friendly team, care and cleanliness of the rooms and communal

I visited Warmere Court for 7 days respite care to give my husband a much needed rest. From the minute I arrived I was made to feel very welcome. All the staff are extremely kind and go above and beyond to support the residents there. There were daily activities such as bingo, scrabble and quizzes,
which really helped me get to know other residents too, we also had a live singer performing! My room was kept clean and tidy and washing returned promptly. It was bitter sweet returning home, and I would definitely stay for respite again in the future.

Warmere Court cared for my nan in her last few months of life; they catered to every need, big or small, with compassion and respect. All staff were informative and supportive. A lovely welcoming care home, clean and homely. My mum was here from October 2022 till she sadly passed in June this year 2023. As a family we couldn’t have asked for better care for mum, the staff are all kind, attentive and helpful. Whilst visiting mum I also see some of the other residents there
playing games and sitting chatting, all of which looked happy and well cared for. More like a home from-home than a care home.

My friend stayed for respite care for just over a week. The home is bright and airy with a real homely feel. The staff were polite and friendly, and always made me feel welcome when visiting. My friend really enjoyed her stay, and has said she will definitely look to stay for respite in the future.

Very spacious, welcoming home. Ensuite nursing rooms are very light and airy with good facilities. The staff are very friendly and always willing to help and answer any queries. I feel my mum is well looked after here. Nice the home has a couple of new pets as well for the residents to have a cuddle!

Feel that the home provides a safe and secure home for my mum. The staff seem professional and friendly (most of the time). Have dealt with concerns raised immediately and positively. Mum enjoys the activities put on but needs to be encouraged to go outside more.

When I visited Warmere Court for the first time, I was made most welcome by the management and care staff. The manager got a young lady to show around Warmere Court and the room our daughter would be staying in. I told my wife that she was going to be well looked after. From the first day she moved
in, she took to the management and all the staff, she has since told us nothing is a problem for them in all the care she needs. In fact, when she comes out with us after lunch with Mum and Dad she says you can take me home to Warmere, that's my home now. So we know she is very happy and content.

I have worked at Warmere Court for 13 years. 3 years in the old Warmere Court and 10years in the new Warmere Court.


I enjoy my role because It is so nice to help and make a difference in the community to older peoples lives
Knowing that every time I am at work I’m making a difference and promoting Shaw’s beliefs of wellness, happiness and kindness is what makes us as a team bond together.
I have so many fond memories to choose from, I love the days which involve the staff getting dressed up, fetes, trips out, fundraising days etc.


Qualifications include Manual Handling Trainer, NVQ LVL 2 in health and social care, Nutrition and Hydration Champion, Level 2 certificate in dementia care, level 3 in palliative care, medication trained

I have worked at Warmere Court for 18 years – 7 years at the old Warmere Court and 11 years at the new Warmere Court.


I really enjoy my role because I love building close relationships to the people around us and really love working as part of a dedicated team.


Knowing I am making a difference to people’s lives for the better, makes such a difference to every day
The best memory of a working day for me would be us all doing the charity bike ride to Fundraise for Warmere Court to enrich our residents lives, and I look forward to many more fundraising days.

I have worked at Warmere Court for 10 months
I enjoy using my passion and love for cooking and good quality food for the good and wellbeing of the residents here.


Having a good honest relationships with the residents really helps me to plan the meals. Knowing that if there is a food or request they would like, making sure they can have it and bringing a smile to their faces
I have worked in care for 3 years total with other providers.


The summer fete here in 2019 was great fun, it is nice to have a themed day where everyone is enjoying themselves, dressed up, seeing residents and families mingle.

Even in my role as admin, I feel I still make a difference to the residents lives.
In total I have worked in care for 7 years but, this is my best job.


My best memory of a working day was when we took the residents to Longleat safari park and winter light show for Christmas, seeing the smiles from everyone, made it all worth it.

I really like being responsible for engaging residents and encouraging them to be social. This really is something I pride myself in, making a difference to help someone settle into the home and keeping residents busy and feeling worthwhile is a great feeling.


I love to see the residents enjoy activities, be it as a group or a one to one, it is heart-warming every time.
Working at Warmere Court was my very first job in care, the team here really helped me feel welcome.


My best memory so far of a working day was organising alpacas to come into the home. It was great fun, it was a unique activity that the residents all loved, Trips out to Longleat, or to the beach and other places are always great fun too, and organising summer fetes which lets families come together and enjoy days with loved ones is a very rewarding feeling.

I really enjoy making people’s lives better on a daily basis and being able to put a smile on people’s faces. I treat all the residents the same, as if they were my Nan or Grandad.


Being able to spend close time with residents and building relationships with them, gives me a great sense of wellbeing in my role.


Warmere Court was the first time ever I have worked in care. I was made to feel a member of the team straight away.


I would say the best memory of a working day for me was the Grease themed summer fete last year was so much fun and the residents loved it, having all the resident's families join us made it a special and memorable day.

I have to say, I have loved it here so much, I came back.


I have done every job there is to do in the home over a career of 26 years, and now I’m the manager, which I am very proud of.

I make sure all residents live in a happy, well run home and for me, knowing I am leading a wonderful team that enriches people’s lives, means everything.


I have a lot of wonderful memories when I look back, I just enjoy being part of a great team and making days extra special for residents. I enjoy getting compliments and feedback from residents and their families, it makes it all worthwhile.

I enjoy making time for residents in my working day. I can always find time for a chat and a smile. Residents like to see and know the home is being kept clean.


I enjoy feeling part of a caring and hard-working team, it really is like a big happy family here.


The best memory of a working day for me would be our dressing up days, the last one we dressed up for world book day and it was a lot of fun, the residents loved it, it is nice to have a team that get involved and commit themselves to doing things properly.

I am very proud to say that I have worked at Warmere Court for 26 years! Its hard to believe but, I have 11 years here working with Shaw healthcare and 15 years at the old Warmere Court for West Sussex County Council – 33 years in total working in care here in West Sussex.


I enjoy caring for people and making a difference in my community. I try my best to make every day special and worthwhile
Having a close bond with colleagues and residents, makes work days so special, we are one big happy family here.


Everyday offers an opportunity to give me a new best memory, I love the big holidays like Christmas and Easter but, day to day there could just be a little thing you could do, or say and it will make someone smile, and to me that makes all the difference.

I trained in Romania at high college and studied Nursing for 3 years and then 1 year junior nursing.


I worked at a hospital in Constanta specialising in lung diseases for 18 years and also trained as a Red Cross Sister until 1996 and have also worked as a community nurse.


I have worked here at Warmere Court on the nursing floor for five years.


I honestly do love my job as a nurse and I truly believe in the care here at Warmere Court.


I love that I get to care for and help people in need, build close bonds with residents and their families - we are all one big happy family.

I always work to provide first class care.
In total I have worked for 34 years in healthcare so, I feel very proud.


I have so many happy memories here at Warmere Court, lots of amazing times and that is why I am dedicated to working for the home. Seeing residents happy is all that matters to me.

I have now worked at Warmere Court for a total of 20 years. 9 years at the old Warmere Court with West Sussex council and then 11 years at the new Warmere Court with Shaw healthcare.


I enjoy working in the home and Knowing that every shift, I’m doing everything I can to enrich the residents lives and keep them all happy. At the end of the day everything we do is for them.


Every day is a special day and that’s what makes working in care great. Seeing the residents smile and realizing the work you do is really making a difference. Its crazy to think I have been here for 22 years. I have met and got to know so many local families.


I love Christmas time in the home, decorating the home all nice, giving residents presents, playing games, it is a really nice family feel all around the home.
