From our first visit I knew Newfield Lodge was the right place for Mum. Staff and surroundings are friendly and welcoming and Mum has settled really well. She has become part of the family and we feel part of that family too. Mum always looks smart in matching clean clothes and enjoys visiting the in-house
hairdressers weekly. Entertainment is good and staff play their part when the karaoke machine is out! The manager knows every resident by name and takes the time to stop and chat to them. I am happy to recommend Newfield Lodge.

Newfield Lodge staff look after and treat the residents as they would a family member. There are lots of activities and fun things happening all year round. They also have a garden, which was revamped by staff and residents.

Management and staff are polite and friendly, which helps the residents feel at ease and comfortable in their surroundings. Dad has settled in well and has made good friends. I feel relaxed knowing dad is safe and looked after. Entertainment is good and residents join in with singing and dancing, families
are welcome at all times. I would highly recommend anyone visiting Newfield Lodge and seeing for themselves how all the residents are happy.

Since Mum moved to Newfield Lodge, I am 100% sure it is the perfect place for her, she has settled in more quickly than I thought possible, all the staff are so warm and friendly keeping, me updated with Mum's progress. Since moving into Newfield Lodge, my mum has settled really well. She is always taking part in lots of activities and really enjoys the singers and loves to dance. The management team and all the staff have made us as a family very welcome and included in every aspect of Mum's care home life.

Since Mum became resident at the care home over a year ago, she has really settled in well. She is looked after brilliantly by the staff, who provide exemplary care for the residents. Their kindness, patience and the quality of their care is second to none. The activity programme is great and Mum enjoys
joining in when she chooses. There is always a friendly, welcoming atmosphere and the managers are very approachable. It is very comforting to know that Mum is living in such a safe, caring environment.

I cannot praise Newfield Lodge and the staff highly enough. Since my mother has been in the home for the past two years, the care she has received has been excellent; totally supportive of her needs and providing numerous activities and social events to keep her occupied, happy and settled. The surroundings
and staff attention to even the smallest details of her care is exemplary and long may it continue!

The reception/care staff are always welcoming when we visit. The home is clean and the decor is nice and bright not drab and dated like some places. His room is light and airy but a bit on the small side. Better design solutions could have been adopted to give residents more places for their belongings.
A bathroom cupboard perhaps and the wardrobe has a lot of its space taken up by an integrated fridge that has never worked. You can only fit a single bed which is OK but Dad is a big chap so found that a bit of a squash at first but he's gotten used to it. The outdoor garden area is lovely for the residents to use but needs a tidy-up. Some flowers/planters would be nice for them.
The residents seem happy and well looked after although many of them complain about the food being bland. At a cost of £4.5K per month perhaps a little better quality food could be served. We supplement Dad's diet by taking fresh fruit/treats in for him every week. Still so much better than other dismal places.

It was my first visit to see my dad. The rooms were lovely, the staff really great and very helpful.
I live in Canada and they help me so much with things I can’t simply pop down the road to do. The activities and outings look so much fun.
I love the garden area too such a lovely place.
The price
seems a lot but when you add in all the activities, food, events etc it’s very reasonable.
I would highly recommend Newfield Lodge.

After almost 30 years of experiencing visiting care homes (in a different life) I have seen the good the bad and the ugly. So when the time came for my own mum to go into a care home I was very hesitant. After one mistake I found Newfield Lodge Care Home. On the very first visit to look around I
immediately felt reassured. From the friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness and decor, and the welcome of the manager I knew immediately this was the right place for mum, and so it proved to be. Mum has been there now 4 months and celebrated her 97th birthday last Friday. She received a beautiful bouquet of flowers from all at the home. So thank you to everyone there for making mum’s birthday so special and taking such good care of her on our behalf. I do not hesitate to recommend Newfield Lodge to anyone seeking a care home for their loved ones.

Terrific care home - staff attitudes to residents and range of activities for them. My brother and I are really pleased (and relieved) that our father has a place there to cope with his Alzheimer’s. He has been at Newfield Lodge for over 2 years.

As soon as we placed Mum into your care we knew she would be cared for with dignity and respect. From the outset staff took time to get to know Mum, promoting her independence and ensuring her safety whilst offering the right level of supervision and stimulation. The staff at Newfield Lodge are encouraged
to think differently, they see opportunities to positively redirect Mum when she appears lost or confused and they keep family involved in so many ways. Above all Mum appears happy, settled and cared for, thank you.

My mother arrived from a care home up north and from the minute she arrived at Newfield Lodge the care and attention from all members of staff were second to none. It was like night and day compared to the home she had come from. My mother lived with dementia for many years, she also had a skin condition
that required constant care and attention and this is what she received at Newfield Lodge. My mother's short time at Newfield Lodge was spent with lots of love and care which exceeded our expectations. Moving my mother here was too late but for the short time she stayed there nothing was ever too much for all staff who attended to my mother whether this was direct or not. The entire team were very welcoming and friendly and thought of my mother as their own and when it came to her passing their thoughtfulness towards me and my partner, where second to none. I can't praise them enough for their care and support.

My Uncle has been a resident since June of last year, and I cannot thank the team enough for all they do for him. From the first call to enquire, I've always felt like nothing is ever too much. The team is so welcoming and the staff are very friendly. The care for my uncle has exceeded my expectations,
and the thoughtfulness they have shown me has not gone unnoticed. I'm amazed by the daily activities - the planning, coordination and time spent to ensure the residents have something to do and keep them active is much appreciated.

This is such a welcoming care home, the staff all seem very caring. It is a safe environment for anyone to live in. Lots of activities to stimulate the residents. Cannot thank them enough for all they do for their residents. I feel so happy that my family member is being looked after very well.

My wife has only been here for three to four weeks, but we are most impressed with the care she is receiving. The lodge is very clean. The staff are really friendly and helpful, from senior management through the whole team. Working in stressful situations can never be easy, but it seems to be handled
with care and courtesy.
