Depending on which staff are on caring duty, Mum feels happier and able to talk and confide in some. Mum complains a lot about the quality of food and how it is cooked. A regular service of newspaper delivery would be appreciated. As her daughter, I feel happy with her care and safety. Relations are
made to feel welcome and there is plenty to occupy residents if they wish to join in.

I came to visit my friend who is very poorly. I was greeted warmly and was made a sandwich and a cup of tea. Everyone was really lovely. The home was beautiful and very clean and tidy. The gardens looked lovely, just a shame it was raining or we'd have been sat outside. I felt right at home.

Dementia staff poorly trained and general level of care for dementia residents woefully inadequate, high turn over of staff from line level to senior management.

My experience of Newfield Lodge is a very positive one. All staff are extremely caring, helpful and friendly and have a genuine concern for and interest in the residents they look after. The home itself is very well presented and is always clean and tidy. The food is of a high standard. There are also
many activities, trips out, etc available for the residents to enjoy.

My mother moved into Newfield Lodge in February of this year and we are very happy how she has settled in. The home is always fresh and clean, the carers are lovely. There is a good timetable of entertainment and activities which the staff do a brilliant job organising. The laundry service is excellent
clothes are laundered and returned to residents rooms correctly. Mum always has her own clothes. There is a clam comfortable atmosphere in the home. The inhouse hairdresser is fab and the regular chiropodist visits are great.

My mum has dementia. It was a hard decision to move her to a care home. Newfield Lodge has far exceeded my expectations in all aspects.
They provide excellent individualised care for mum given by wonderful staff who take pride in their job, in a safe and loving environment. We, as a family, have been
welcomed and supported by approachable and friendly staff. Mum has an amazing social life, good food and a fine quality of life.

All the staff and management care very deeply about their residents and the family members who visit them in Newfield Lodge. The rooms are clean, kept tidy and the food is provided by a National Award Winner and his team providing an excellent range of meal options to choose from.


The home provides

open days, regular events and a nativity play last Christmas, followed by "Grease the musical " in August 2018 which everyone enjoyed.


I chat to other residents besides my own family member creating an inclusive friendly atmosphere for all.

When I arrived my sister was in the activity room potting plants. It was a very friendly environment and the assistants treated the patients with kindness and humour. My sister was very happy because she loved her garden.

We were invited to your Italian 'pop-up' event which my father in law really enjoyed.

Since mum has been at Newfield Lodge, her personality has changed. She has become involved in the nativity which she enjoyed and loves to go to the hairdressers which she has never done. She made friends and her appetite has improved.

I find the atmosphere in the home comfortable and relaxing and the staff generally pleasant and helpful. Most of the residents are friendly and fairly easy to get on with. I used to enjoy playing bingo on a Wednesday but unfortunately, we have not had it for the last couple of months.

Very smart clean home. Staff very friendly and willing to discuss with and involve family and friends in care of all residents.
Good activity rotation and selection, always something going on to involve or entertain residents and their visitors.
Food appears to be very good, and plentiful if needed.
Nice to see residents encouraged to eat in groups at properly laid tables! But also allowed to eat alone if desired. Pop up restaurants are a frequent occurrence with great menus.
Home is run very well, always well staffed and the manager has an open door if you need to discuss anything, however minor.
Clear contracts without hidden subsections so no misconceptions of what expected or provided.
So glad we found this home for my mother, peace of mind for me and good care for Mum.
Totally recommend this home to anyone looking for a private provider with overall Good CQC rating.

Lovely, clean, modern, staff good. However, when we looked around I was assured my cousin who is a resident would be with similar people as herself, however, a lot of residents seem to have dementia. My cousin is self-funded and pays top price but has to provide own drinking chocolate and horlicks if
she wants a cup before bedtime. Meals are good.
