Fees are subject to a pre-admission needs assessment which is required to fully understand the level
of care and support required by each individual. Premium rooms normally require an additional charge.
Nursing fees include the Funded Nursing Contribution (FNC) if you are eligible. There are no additional fees
for respite stays.

Please note, the weekly fee does not include hairdressing, chiropody or other healthcare visits or
appointments not covered by the NHS, toiletries, newspapers or magazines, any over the counter
medications that a GP wouldn’t normally prescribe such as paracetamol and indigestion relief, and any
other privately arranged healthcare. Should you require an escort to hospital appointments, we may apply
an agreed hourly charge for this service.

Sandfields prides itself on the high level of care and lifestyles on offer. Our busy activities programme is developed around residents’ preferences. Whilst we persuade residents to join in, we cannot force this if they don’t want to. Residents’ happiness is our number one priority and we encourage feedback from residents to ensure we are doing the best we can. Job Title: Home Manager
I'm a qualified and experienced nurse – I've worked in hospitals and care homes for over twenty years.
I joined Care UK in 2014 and have worked my way up to clinical lead, deputy manager and now home manager.
No two days are ever the same here at Sandfields. Every resident is treated as an individual and according to their changing needs. My favourite part of the day is meeting with my team at the start of the day, receiving handovers from each unit and supporting colleagues to make decisions that will make a difference in the lives of the residents.
Outside of work, I'm very connected with my church and the local community. I also like to spend my free time going camping, sightseeing and connecting with friends and families all over the world via social media.
