Drovers House is located on the old Cattle Market in Rugby, benefiting from being close to local shops, markets, a theatre, cinema, library, train station and bus route.

To ensure an active lifestyle, Lifestyle Coaches plan a range of activities and trips out in the community. There is also a café, shop, luxury spa bath and a beauty salon offering unisex hairdressing and manicures.

Drovers House offers long-term and respite care for older people across six households, each benefiting from its own communal open-plan lounge, dining area and kitchen, where people can make their own snacks and drinks and staff are always on hand to prepare hot refreshments if requested. All rooms have ensuite wetrooms, a personalised front door, plenty of storage and the facility to install a TV or phone. For couples, a double apartment can be created with a bedroom and private lounge, or adjacent bedrooms are available.

The home uses a range of technology to enhance the health and wellbeing of residents, including circadian lighting in one household and the reception area, and acoustic night-time monitoring.

The open living area is a central hub for each household where people can get together and socialise with other residents, family and friends. The garden includes a specially designed cycle path for a side-by-side bicycle for two, outdoor gym equipment, summerhouse, a tool shed, raised beds and varied planting which residents and staff take care of.

Our father had been in Drovers for 2 years, and the care he received was excellent. His body and mind was kept as active as possible when possible. The staff made it feel like home even to the visitors, nothing was any trouble. He was loved and cared for in a really touching special way like he was
there family.
We insisted he was kept at the home right up until his passing. The carers made it very special and some of them went above and beyond at the end, even on there days off. We are so thankful to have found such an amazing home.

Very happy with his care. The staff are kind and considerate to all his needs. I am always made to feel welcome on my visits. The activities for residents are amazing with great outings to interesting places and singing/garden walks/music and much much more. My concerns/questions etc have always been
addressed immediately. Thank you to you all. To see him settled and safe is wonderful and the Christmas decorations look amazing!

Both of my parents were in Drovers House we were made to feel welcome as my parents had a lot of visitors. Every event that took place the staff involved the residents with. Can't fault all of the staff and management they took the time to get to know them, their likes and especially dislikes in my
dads case. Our memories of their last few months were mostly happy ones and that was because of Drovers House and its staff thank you to all of you and a merry Christmas.

Drovers House took great care of both of my parents when they needed it most. Staff were caring, friendly and professional, environment was very much home from home. When the sad day came for each of them, the staff were supportive and couldn't do enough for all the family.

What a lovely place. My friend is a resident here. He had been in a different home, but had been really unhappy. Now he's here at Drover Court he's very happy. He says the staff are friendly and attentive. They have arranged events and days out for him. The home is big and roomy. It's very clean and
well laid out.

Recently, my Uncle spent time, after being in hospital, at Drovers House, in Rugby. The staff and Managers provided excellent care and kindness towards him. They also ensured that his rehab journey, was efficient, to help him "get home" asap. I honestly felt at peace knowing, that he was receiving the
best care, whilst I spent time there and when I wasn't! Thank you to each one of you who provided care and love.

Mum has been at Drovers home for a long time. The staff are kind, hard-working, caring and loving. The home is bright, and cheerful, with a friendly warm welcome. So important when visiting loved ones, particularly when they are very ill. Mum is treated with kindness, dignity and care, and lots of
cuddles and love. At very difficult times, staff have gone beyond the call of duty, visiting, supporting and staying well beyond their shifts. All staff are very supportive of us as a family, which we really appreciate. Regular meetings are organised and the management team are caring, approachable and supportive for any enquiries, and resolves any queries rapidly. The resident Gateway is really useful. Staff put residents' needs first and key carers and all staff are helpful, kind and warm. We appreciate all their hard work and kindness. Thank you.

Our mother moved into Drovers House around 9 years ago. She has suffered from Dementia which has increased in its severity over the period of her time at Drovers. The facilities provided are very good with each resident having their own room with an en-suite shower room. In addition, there are some
excellent facilities in the central area with a shop, cafe and activity room. Mum has been looked after extremely well and has everything she needs to make life both comfortable and safe.
The staff throughout mums stay have been outstanding in their care and compassion. This was shown through the recent COVID pandemic when many of the staff went above and beyond in their dedication to the welfare of the residents. This was greatly appreciated by families who were unable to attend.
As a family, we are delighted we were able to find a place at Drovers for mum's care. Our thanks go to the Drovers Team and for all the care and support they provide.

Moved my mum to Drovers House recently from the local authority care home. Very friendly staff and lots of activities for the residents. My mum seems much happier since moving here. Would recommend it to anyone looking for an activity-led place for a loved one to stay.

After a bad fall and a couple of weeks in hospital, our 99-year-old mum was admitted to Drover House for six weeks of rehabilitation. We were concerned that she wouldn't receive the care that she needed - but we shouldn't have worried. Drovers were incredible. The staff were kind, the care was superb
and we couldn't have asked for more. Obviously, she wanted to go home to her bungalow - the staff encouraged her and enabled her to make her wish come true. Ironically, now she is home, she often harps back to the staff and people who she grew close to and wishes herself back in the safety of their care. If or when the day comes, we wouldn't hesitate to see her safely back in residence.
On behalf of mum and our family - 5 stars every time. Thank you.

My mother has been in Drovers House since February and I am very happy with the standard of care she is receiving. The staff are friendly and cheerful and made time to get to know mum and help her settle into her new environment.
The competence of management and staff is excellent and professional

After a stressful long-term period of the family providing 24/7 care around the clock, unfortunately, the time had come to transition grandma and grandad together into a care home. From the initial contact made by visiting the family home they exceeded our expectations and more, they both reassured
and provided words of comfort when acknowledging that both grandma and grandad would be in the best possible place receiving the highest level of care. And that they have! Both moved into Drover's House on Thursday 23rd May 2024 and since we have had nothing but amazing from the team, they have updated us on all care via 'Relatives Gateway' and have personally spoken to myself, my mum and my aunt who have visited every day. Nothing is too much for the team at Drover's House and all care towards grandma and grandad has been nothing short of caring and loving. Thank you Drovers House for caring for them as though they were your own.

My mum moved into Drovers House 4 days ago. She was very down after having spent 3 weeks in a local authority home on discharge to assess. Even after a few days, mum is almost back to her old self thanks to the wonderful attitude of the staff. I am so very very grateful.

I was so comforted the moment I stepped inside and was greeted by staff. My worry about my brother's care eased as he was welcomed and settled, by what was obviously a caring staff. He needs were met with genuine caring, and as his time there continues, this high level of caring remains, which gives
the loved ones of the residents peace of mind, in a distressing situation. As I visit, I am welcomed also, and feel already part of this family. That basic feeling of peace of mind is very precious to me. Genuine warm feeling and true thanks to all at Drovers House. The staff are angels on earth.

Drovers House is a very caring home, with a relaxed and chilled-out feeling. Very homely. I have settled in well. Flexible and helped me when I was in need. Drovers came to my rescue! I especially love the staff who are fun and attentive. I particularly like the new staff and helping them to develop.
I value it being central to Rugby as I am able to access the local area. I still maintain my freedom.
I enjoy plenty of laughter with the staff and the musician, this helps other residents.

My mum has been a resident at Drovers for over two years now. She is very well cared for, and all her needs are met. If she needs or wants anything, the staff will do their utmost to fulfil it. She has her own home but is incapable of living on her own, and she classes Drovers as her "home" now. She
also can have regular outings with family members. She seems very happy and settled and would highly recommend Drovers to anyone in need of care for a family member.

Drovers House were fantastic in helping my father-in-law when he arrived from the hospital. The room was clean and provided all he needed. The meals were great, especially the cooked breakfast. Staff were excellent and caring.

I’m the General Manager at Drovers House and have been with WCS Care since 2003.


I started as a Carer at Dewar Close in Rugby and soon aspired to be a Home Manager. In my journey, I’ve worked in various roles such as Senior Carer, Care Manager and Deputy Home Manager in our Rugby homes, before becoming Home Manager at Drovers in 2020.


I love how I can make a difference in our residents’ lives and share my knowledge with my team to help them deliver high-quality care.


Outside of work, I love taking part in quiz games or watching them on TV (from The Chase to Family Fortunes), reading fiction and watching documentaries.
