We would like to thank all the staff at St Peters Court for their wonderful care they gave our mum. They all loved mum and looked after her as if she was their own mother. I can't speak more highly of them. We knew that mum was safe here and well looked after. Please accept our sincere gratitude and
thanks for everything you all did for Mum. We will miss you all. Thank you x

May I thank all staff for the kindness they have shown me. They are all professional and approachable and a few that went the "extra mile" including one member of staff who made me feel at ease and settled in. Nothing was a problem to her.
She knew exactly how to balance independence with dependence
using gentle encouragement without pressure to get you back to independent living. I feel she should be recognised as an asset to the establishment working as part of a team as well as on her own time. Thank you.

My partner has been resident since it opened in 2014.
The care he has received has been second to none.
The management and carers are very kind and understanding to all his needs.
He is now in palliative care.
Everyone is so kind and considerate to both my partner and myself.
The restaurant always
manages to keep him happy with his meals, as he can be awkward.
I hope to be able to go to St Peter's myself one day.

Overall, great care. My mother calls it "my happy place". Great carers, good food (I drive there from time to time). Events are always a triumph. The activities coordinator goes that extra mile for residents.
The assistant manager - I don't think he sleeps. He is always there and nothing is too much
for him. I can't imagine better places for my lovely mother.

I would like to say how impressed I was with the service my husband and I received when we came to look at the home. The manager came and greeted us and had a chat and everyone was very friendly. Looking at other homes this stood out for me. The home is beautiful and clean and I had no hesitation
in placing your home as my first choice.

Following a short hospital stay and the onset of dementia the necessity to find a home for my 92-year-old mam was not something I looked forward to.
However after visiting a couple of homes in the area that could accommodate I would have no hesitation in recommending St. Peter's Court.
First the facilities
are first class and provide the feeling of a small hotel rather than a care. Well decorated and maintained it is the most welcoming of homes I have been to.
The food looks appetising and well prepared.
Second - the Staff are most welcoming and friendly. It was quite surprising in how many homes the manager or assistant manager couldn't even find the time to say hello or check that everything was ok prior to our departure. Here at St. Peters Court, I met the manager on our visit who showed an interest in my mam and ensured that before we left we were comfortable with everything we saw. Since then I have spoken to a number of the staff and all have been most welcoming and supportive.

A bright and airy environment allowing residents to use wheelchairs etc. The lay out means residents are not isolated yet enjoy their own rooms. I found some rooms to be too small especially if the resident is using electric wheelchairs, meaning the bed had to be pushed against the wall so unable to
us bed head. The best asset was the staff, cheerful, very caring, helpful and in our experienced treated our relatives with respect and love during the last days of her life.
Good management gave a secure atmosphere.

Lots of things top do, enjoyed the carol singers. Enjoyed Christmas dinner. Staff in fancy dress for Christmas fayre looked lovely. The staff are really nice.

Dad's mental and physical health continue to deteriorate, he can sometimes be difficult to communicate with and care for. Despite all the difficulties, we have observed the staff ensuring he is included in activities leading up to Christmas. They talk to him, make him laugh and care for his physical
needs. They are calm and caring, I have never had any qualms about the quality of care - they are very special people.

My mother has been resident here for six months. The home is beautifully furnished, extremely well maintained and very clean. The staff are superb, very efficient and eternally cheerful. There is a varied programme of activities and residents are actively encouraged to take part. The catering is of
a very high standard, although not always fully appreciated by a 96 year old!

Job Title: Care Home Manager

What does ‘kindness’ mean to you?


“For me, kind care is adapting your service and support to every Resident’s wishes so that they are able to live how they want to.”


As a dedicated healthcare professional, Jamie has gained a wealth of experience in providing care and nursing support to elderly people, to enrich their lives. He is a knowledgeable leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards in care and quality of life for Residents.


Jamie closely shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. He extends this caring approach to his Colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to Residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


When asked what he enjoys most about his role, Jamie remarked:


“I am lucky to be part of a team of likeminded people who share my passion for providing the best care for our Residents in a comfortable and welcoming environment.”


Jamie’s proudest achievement is working hard to demonstrate his ability to progress from Deputy Home Manager to Home Manager within seven months. In spare time, Jamie likes fine art, being outdoors and spending quality time with friends and family.
