Signature at Coombe Hill Manor is an established home situated in the beautiful surroundings of Kingston-Upon-Thames. The home is purpose built and offers exceptional accommodation, which is affordable and of a very high standard. Headed up by a very experienced General Manager, the team at Coombe Hill Manor offers a very warm welcome to all - it is a care home like no other in the area.

Coombe Hill Manor is proud to offer two fully licensed restaurants, the menu being dictated by current residents and an in-house café for residents and visitors to enjoy afternoon tea and homemade cakes. There is also a large Wellbeing and Lifestyle Team which provide trips out, visiting speakers, performers and activities. There is also an in-house hair salon, spa and treatment room.

A typical one bedroom suite offers a bedroom and separate lounge and kitchen with a full en-suite wet room. It is unique in that the home offers double the space of most care homes and it is ideal for those wanting extra room or for couples who want to stay together. There are also smaller studios for those who prefer something more cosy. The rooms come unfurnished allowing residents to bring those special objects, which helps the settling in process.

Residents range from those who are relatively independent and still drive through to those who require full nursing, dementia or end of life care. Coombe Hill provides discreet support in a place which is not institutional and as much like home as possible.

My siblings and I are very happy with the total care our mum receives here at Coombe Hill. There are always smiling faces everywhere which means that the staff are happy in their work and this reflects hugely in our mum's wellbeing. She is happy to be there and happy someone else is doing all the work!
I think the quality of staff is excellent and the care she receives is the same. I only wish this could come at half the price is.

There is no way to adequately describe how absolutely marvellous Coombe Hill Manor have been whilst looking after my mother over the last three years. Right from the start, the whole team were very professional and managed my mother's move in efficiently and with great support. Once at Coombe Hill,
the atmosphere was great and the staff friendly and nothing could be too much trouble which enabled my mother to settle in easily, feel secure and respected in her rooms as if in a six-star hotel suite!
The food was delicious (which was not what I had expected) and the general ambience of the whole space was such a relief.
At the end of 2016, it was felt that she could be better served by moving her to Augusta, the dementia suite, where the care has got to be second to none. With one to one ratio, nothing was too difficult.
Sadly the time has come to move her closer to family and today is her last day.
We will never forget how well she was looked after and thank everyone for their support over the last three years.

This was the first time I had visited my friend at Coombe Hill Manor and I visited many relatives over the years in nursing homes, I have concluded this one to be the finest. I found the staff extremely friendly and gather, from the friend I visited, that they are all a great team and take care of the
residents 24/7. Nothing is too much trouble and the food service is excellent.

My wife and I are both residents at Coombe Manor, my wife is on Augusta. The staff provided excellent support to both myself and my wife during the transition period when my wife transferred to Augusta.

Both my parents are residents. During the last year my mother had to move to Augusta. The staff made the transition much easier both in terms of the practical and emotional aspects.
I visit approximately twice a month. I am always made very welcome and the staff always know how both mum and dad are.

My 96-year-old friend moved to Coombe Hill Manor in 2015. She had lived in the same house for over 40 years before moving. It was a huge change and not without difficulties but the staff really helped both me and my friend in the settling in process. They spent time with her, got to know her likes and
dislikes, took her on walks in the garden and generally cared that she was having as happy and stimulating a time as possible. When she died in January, they were going out of their way to make her last days as comfortable as possible and to keep her up to date. It is an excellent and caring home.

Very caring, thoughtful, sweet carers. The people looking after the residents are the best part of the care home. I think it's the most important thing. I have thought the interiors could be more aesthetically pleasing - colourwise ie. less brown. But I don't know what would be more calming for my grandmother.
The caring is most important. As long as my grandmother is happy, active enough, healthy, fed and looked after, I'm happy and it seems as though she always is.

Coombe Hill Manor has been amazing. Although there is no hope of any major improvement to my mother's condition, there has definitely been some significant improvements in her mood and her engagement with others. The home has caring and fun staff who treat each resident as an individual. My mum seems
very happy and content. All her needs are taken care of and there are lots of activities which she loves. I would highly recommend them.

I am a registered nurse, having qualified in South Africa after completing the 4-year integrated Nursing Course, and I specialised an additional year in Mental Health. I have worked for one of Bupa’s biggest nursing homes for the last 15 years, in the capacity of a Nurse, Clinical Services Manager, Training Coordinator and, recently, as the Deputy Manager. During this time, I studied Dementia at Kingston University and also gained my mentorship qualifications at City University. I also facilitated the home's entry into the Gold Standards Framework for End of Life care in care homes and they were awarded Beacon status - which is the highest accolade awarded to a home in this field. The home still holds this award. I joined Coombe Hill Manor as Care Services Manager. I am passionate about resident care and ensuring that high standards are reached and maintained. Every person living in our community has a voice and we are here to support their choices while respecting their dignity and providing them with the support they need to start a new life at Coombe Hill Manor.

After graduating as a nurse from the University Autonoma de Lisboa, I spent 2 years working for Barchester Care Home before joining the Royal hospital for neuro-disability where I spent 4 years there. Working with Signature has allowed me to really express myself as a chef and add to my already vast experience.
