We have nothing but admiration for all that the staff do at Aaron Court. The nursing and care staff looked after mum with dedication, skill and kindness and all the staff took great care to find out her specific wants and needs. The management were approachable and caring, as well as being efficient
and businesslike. They always found time for us, the family, as well as having a real relationship with mum. The home has great facilities and is modern and always clean. My only regret is that mum was already very ill when she moved in and unable to enjoy the facilities to the full. Heartfelt thanks to all the staff who treated mum with dignity and respect and showed such compassion to us, her family. It was a great comfort to us to know that she was being so supported and well cared for in her final months.

My mum has been in Aaron Court now for 3 and a half years. The staff are very caring and always treat my mum with kindness. The home is very nicely decorated and kept clean at all times. The outside area is quite limited but would be much improved by providing new tables, chairs and sun umbrellas for
the summer months.
Overall, I am very happy with Aaron Court Care Home and feel Mum is well looked after there.

My dad moved into Aaron Court for a week of respite care, but on returning home it was clear he wanted to be back at the care home. Within 2 hours of me calling the manager dad was back at Aaron Court and spent 4 weeks there before he passed away. The staff are friendly and helpful and dad was comfortable
and looked after. I'll always be grateful for the support Aaron Court showed my dad.

The management team are supportive, helpful and very responsive.
The staff show compassion and kindness and are very patient. They extend a warm welcome to family members and always offers a meal to her husband when visiting. How lovely that residents are taken out for afternoon tea.

We have two full-time activities staff and have invested heavily in activity provision over the last few months including the appointment of an Occupational Therapist and establishing a new well-being team focused on meaningful activity for all our residents. Generally, we receive very positive feedback as to the level of engagement and activities on offer, however, we are always happy to take suggestions on how we can further improve. I am aware that the Home Manager has already discussed this with you and arranged for the well-being team to meet with you and develop an individual plan for you and your husband.

My mum has lived at Aaron Court for four and a half years now and is quite settled there. The staff are caring and considerate to her needs and I'm grateful she is very well looked after. In the beginning, we did have some issues over care but since the change in management, its very good and we are
happy. Any care home is only as good as its staff, they all do a great job, from the cleaners, laundry, activity staff, carers, nurses and management. I believe the CQC rating is good too.

Aaron Court is a very lovely home, well lit and plenty of space for individuals to move around. The staff and management are all friendly and very approachable. When I need to ask questions someone is always available to assist and put your mind at ease. There are activities for all to take part in
and also a church service for religious needs. I would strongly recommend Aaron Court to all my family and friends.

I have found the support we have received as a family from the staff, and especially the management, second to none. The support they have provided since the sudden death of our mother, they have provided support to our father who is the resident and we cannot thank them enough.

Our mum/mum in law/grandma was taken into Aaron Court on discharge from hospital. We knew that she wouldn't be there for long as she was nearing the end of her life at 93 years of age.
All the staff we came across treated both her and us (the extended family) with tremendous care, compassion and dignity.
We were made to feel completely at ease and everything that happened was explained to us. There were so many special touches that made the whole experience more manageable.

Generally quite satisfied with the care given but too many carers do not converse with residents.
Often when they are not busy they just sit and chat with each other instead of chatting to residents (especially at weekends)
Outside areas very neglected.

This home is generally good overall but the carers do not spend enough one to one time with the residents. The food has gone very downhill with the latest chef and is not the sort of food that the residents want. The outside areas of the home are very neglected.

Aaron Court facilities are great, the common areas and bedrooms are all purpose built and designed, everywhere was clean and well maintained.


Staff appeared friendly and helpful.


However, we had real problems with my mum's care plan, records were not kept properly nor were they monitored, meaning

health issues were not picked up. My mum became ill and had to leave the home. I have formally complained to the home but in nearly two months have failed to receive any acknowledgement, which is a real disappointment.

They are always understaffed most of the time. The care team seem frustrated by management as they are not listened to.
I myself have phoned and emailed the GM with no reply.
I even had an appointment with the GM then I was told she had been called away to head office and was so sorry.
Her car was
in the car park!
Poorly lead I’m afraid.

On the whole, this care home provides a good service despite on many occasions it seems to be very understaffed and it is often difficult to find a carer.
I feel they are making great efforts to improve their weaknesses. It is a shame agency nurses still have to be used, although on the whole, they
are efficient.
The two "permanent" nurses (bank nurses) are excellent. Management staff seem to change quite regularly often making it difficult to address a problem to the right person.

Not enough care staff on shift at pertinent times of the day; mornings, lunch, after tea. Need lunchtime staff to either serve or feed. Residents left wet and uncomfortable.
Those staff that care give a diligent service but let down by those lacking and when so few are on. Delays.

My father will not be going again, I complained about poor care to staff and the manager. My father was not cared for properly, he was left just lying on his bed in just a pad with the door open for everyone to see, two staff on, they were showering someone, so no one to look after the other 12, 5 different
managers in 6 months. The manager promised to ring me about concerns I had but never did. The place is really disorganised, from management down to staff, short staff as staff not turning up for work. My dad was so upset the whole time he was in there and couldn’t wait to come home.

5 managers and 1 area manager in 7 months tells me there are problems in this care home, the service is not up to a very good standard and none of the management seem to be able to handle the situation, this is such a shame as the building itself is of a very good standard. It's now gone to a point
of having to move my mum to another home and we are now being given the cold shoulder, I hope that they can find a manager who is able put this home in good order one day.

We are very sorry that the reviewer was dissatisfied with the standard of care provided for his mother during her stay at Aaron Court and that we were unable to resolve the issues to his satisfaction. There have in fact been two changes of home manager in the last 7 months, sadly one manager had to leave due to health issues and the initial replacement manager did not work out as we had hoped. There is now a new experienced home manager in post being supported by the senior management team. The area manager had actually worked for the company for six years and has recently left the Company to take up a new opportunity.

I found Aaron Court an extremely pleasant place to be in. Everywhere was always clean and tidy and the staff were always helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. I watched them with the residents and they were always kind and gentle with them which is very reassuring when your loved ones are
in a home.


I would recommend the home and hope I can bring my partner back if I need respite in the future.

During her career, she has attended Dementia conferences and developed specialist services for those with dementia.
