Homefield Grange is situated in the picturesque village of Winkton, Christchurch, on the site of a former school, providing quality residential, nursing and dementia care for 64 residents on a permanent and short stay basis.

Luxuriously furnished with a cosy feel with various lounges which are perfect for socialising, to a cinema room, bistro area and hairdressing salon, there’s plenty to keep residents engaged as well as delightful landscaped gardens. All bedrooms are en-suite featuring a flat screen TV, telephone point, safety features and nurse call system.

They are proud to be part of the only care home group to have their own unique award-winning dementia training ‘My World’ which is accredited by City and Guilds. It highlights the importance of meaningful activities and a stimulating environment for people living with dementia, in addition to addressing clinical aspects of care.

We had to move my uncle from his care home as it had closed down and, what a difference it was. The facilities/ bedroom are far better and suit his needs, the staff are helpful and friendly and he seems to be getting much better care than before. Although the change of home was not good for him, he
settled in very quickly and seemed to be very comfortable and well looked after. Would definitely recommend Homefield.

Overall very good professional service. All staff were friendly, courteous, and efficient.
The room was very nice. It was well-maintained, spacious, and very clean. My husband enjoyed the food and was well supplied with drinks throughout the day.
His catheter needs were professionally dealt with
and the strict timing of his drug regime adhered to.
Cannot comment on the activities for residents as he had a lot of visitors and was probably not available when they took place.

Overall, a lovely, friendly place for my mum. Myself and my dad are always made to feel welcome and the staff are happy to answer any questions we may have. The rooms are very homely and lovely, well-kept gardens.

My dear husband had a brain tumor and he spent his last month in Homefield Grange Care Home receiving end of life care. Every person working there was very professional and, above all, very warm. From the nurses and carers to the laundry boys, each one of them helped us to feel better. I think that
these people are simply amazing, and want to say a huge thank you to all of them. I will definitely recommend Homefield Grange.

My mother was in Homefield Grange for four and a half years. Her disabilities were numerous and she was bed-bound. The care she received during that period, including two difficult years of Covid, was exceptional.
Given her disabilities, it is a testament to the level of care given that she remained
comfortable throughout.
The staff were always warm, personal and provided much support also to my father who visited almost daily.
I thank you for all the care and support throughout.

I've always dreaded the thought of going into care, that has now changed, this is an excellent experience. The staff are very kind, cheerful and most caring. The room is large and very comfortable with an open view. My family are so happy that I am contented, they can sleep well at night! The food is
very good, I'm given a choice of menu. The staff check regularly that I'm ok. They keep me clean, well fed and occupied.

My Dad had been resident in Homefield for nearly 12 months, sadly he passed away peacefully at the end of September. But the care, love and attention he received by the team at Homefield Grange has been excellent. Although he was suffering from dementia and was often confused he really felt at home.
We all considered the Homefield Grange team as part of our extended family. In addition to looking after Dad, they also provided great support to my Mum. I would particularly like to thank staff for their care and support. The recent outings they organized for Mum and Dad were so good. My thanks to you all.

Attended my grandad's 100th party - the staff were extremely attentive to his needs. It was obvious they were aware of his likes/dislikes and showed great care in making sure that all the family were looked after, including providing flowers and cards off their own backs.

The day has been perfect. Dad had a great time seeing his grandchildren for the first time in 12 months.

Actually, my mother was at Homefield Grange Care Home for over a year. Prior to arriving there, when she was still in her own home receiving daily care, she had been taken to hospital 6 times over a period of 18 months with various infections, as well as pneumonia. Her cognitive capacity seemed to suffer
heavily as a result. After arriving at Homefield Grange Care Home, both her health and cognitive powers returned very quickly. She didn't need to be taken to hospital once during her stay there and normal conversation also returned. I felt that in every way possible, all the staff at Homefield Grange Care Home took their job title as "carers" to the absolute max. My mother was properly looked after in every respect and I am very grateful to them indeed.

My grandmother came to Homefield Grange earlier this year. She has settled in really well and when I go into see her for visits (under strict conditions to ensure her and everybody else at the home's safety) she tells me how happy she is and how lovely all the people that work there are. Having worried
about her going to a home it is such a lovely feeling knowing she is happy. Everybody I have spoken to there is so lovely and they have really made the effort to get to know her to arrange activities that she will enjoy. I highly recommend Homefield Grange.

Homefield Grange is home from home for my partner. She enjoys a large bright en-suite bedroom. It has a radio, TV and her own pictures on the walls making it feel very personal.
The staff are very professional, caring, cheerful and kind
My partner, who has dementia, came to the home nearly three years
and has been well looked after. She is very popular with the staff.
Homefield Grange Care-home is not perfect, but everyone is working hard to get it there.
The reception staff are fantastic.

My parents came into Homefield in July 2018, sadly my Father passed away shortly after and my Mother has been at Homefield ever since. She is a well known character amongst the residents and is treated with understanding and good humour bearing in mind her failing memory and somewhat demanding nature.

The main meals that I have seen have been excellent. The staff are all always friendly and welcoming when visiting or on the phone.
Understandably a very difficult time at the moment (March 2021), so have based this review on my last visits when Mum was extremely poorly - she has now recovered remarkably, no doubt thanks to the care and attention she has been given at Homefield.
